Everything is as described in the website - close proximity to Chinatown MRT station, convenience stores and restaurants, free breakfast which comes with toast, spread, cereals. I felt very safe staying in this hostel, security is great for solo female traveler. They basically have everything I look for in a hostel - comfortable beds, provided clean linen and towels, showers,... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. Only discovered they dont take card payments when we checked in which was inconvenient. The hostel is tired looking and of average cleanliness, not great The toilets are outside but the showers are inside. Bread, biscuits, tea, coffee available at breakfast to make your own with. Reception staff not that helpful but I felt... More

I stayed two nights in this place. It was comfortable and enjoyable. The bed was nice and the reception staff was helpful. They only offered bread and jams for breakfast but it was okay. They have about 4 showers in total and 2 toilets. There are many food places a walking distance from the hostel.

When we arrived, we were pretty happy with our dormroom, because there were no other guest in it but this changed around midnight. My girlfriend found bedbugs in her bed and when we looked around, we recognized that the whole room was full of it we could see 10 of them with free eyes! The next day we talked with... More

My sister and I spent two nights with this backpacker's inn. With the rate per night for a hostel, we didn't expect so much from here. But upon checking in, the front desk staff already made us feel comfortable. They speak good English too! We didn't have a hard time communicating to them our needs. When it comes to the... More

The staff are eager to help. The facilities such as aircon and lockers and security and travel adaptors are all taken care of. Wifi super. It's not too party, but not too quiet. although definitely more on the quiet side. The location is perfect. And to top it off, free toast for breakfast which is not common in backpacker's. I've... I stayed for 5 days in the 8 bed female dormitory located on the first floor. The bed was comfy and the reading light is very useful especially when the other roommates are asleep. The area is ideal because it is walking distance to a lot of famous places like the buddha museum, the huge hawker place, the red dot... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
