I was given a standard single room. Room was clean, good wifi with AC. Very good bathroom with nice hot water shower. Great location, close to mrt, restaurants pubs and street shopping... Staff was friendly too. But little noisy till midnight as the hotel is located just right in the middle of temple street (street shopping area) Will definitely return...

Very good location in Chinatown, close to lots of cheap eateries (but it's not hard to find those in Singapore). Price acceptable as for Singapore. Rooms are very small, decor is quite old and could use some renovation but otherwise clean.WiFi had decent quality. Overall good for cheap stay for 1-2 nights.

Hotel is in the middle of Chinatown and near to MRT/Pagoda Street. Rooms are small and could use some updating, but has good wifi and good AC, two of my main requirements. Room had a safe. Bathroom is modern but the main room is dumpy and needs modern furniture.Staff, except for one sullen woman, is very friendly and helpful. Beware... More

Located in Chinatown, close to mrt station. And shops. However rooms are small, no minibar, no coffee or tea in the room. Decor is a bit old. Noisy due to closeness to the street. Generally ok hotel..it's a budget hotel.

I stayed here during a business trip to SG. The rooms were dark and bed had small flies. First three days room smell like it was not opened for months. The worst was the free WiFi, which was dead slow. The windows were not sound proof and you get all the noise from street in your room. Full night there... More

Santa Grand is ideally located within Chinatown 7 I recommend to anyone who is looking for a very convenient place with good facilities ( no meals provided but a coffee making machine was available in the living room in the morning) and at very reasonable price. Rooms were very clean & linen was changed daily. Staff was always ready to... More

I been staying for the third time... the first was over a year or so... lovely to be back at Santa Grand, very conveniently located in China Town area, food and transportation is just 2 steps away. Will look forward to return again in near future.

the hotel is in the heart of Chinatown. Easy access to public transport and eatery. However i must say that the room is quite small, toilet plumbing was not so good and water went everywhere when we used the shower. Apart from that we are quite happy with our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
