If you're into that fresh sewage smell, the Moon Hotel is for you. Upon entering the lobby, you'll be hit with a strong blast of air freshener. Don't let that fool you though, the good stuff is upstairs...but we'll get to that later. Ace of Base is almost certainly playing in the lobby, as one of their 3 hits is... More

Housekeeping and the service was very bad, ): Firstly, we were allocated to a dirty room even though we checked in late. Secondly, no service was rendered to help us move our luggage from the dirty room to the clean one. Thirdly, in the new room we were allocated, there were no toiletries and fourthly, the mini bar was not... More

The Hospitality was great. The rooms were clean but no space to move at all. There were not too many things for the breakfast. The choices are poor but the food was in good quality. In overall its value for money and I can recommend this hotel for a short stay. Good if you don't stay much in the room and... More

We booked a room at this hotel, in person, at the reception desk. I asked for a non-smoking room with 2 twin beds. These requests were accommodated, but the person at the desk neglected to say: "oh, by the way, you should know there is no window in the room." Our fault for not seeing the room before we paid.... The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Little India MRT. Tourists may not find this place easy to locate without using a GPS. Upon checking in, the female manager did not give eye contact, nor did she greet us. She was facing the monitor engrossed in doing whatever she was doing. The front desk staff were friendly. However, I... More

I had booked this hotel for my 8 years anniversary with my wife for a night of staycation.. Firstly I was disappointed that they did not put in any effort to decorate the room despite me stating about our anniversary when I booked thru Agoda.. The room was small and not well furnished.. Theres a complimentary mini bar in the... More

Firstly, when we stepped into the executive room we got the shock of our lives. It's freaking small, and we can't believe our eyes. It's so tiny that its impossible to open luggage inside unless you do it on the bed. There's not much space to walk either. Secondly, TV wasn't working when we came in. Thirdly, we called upon... Stay in Nov 2014 nearest MRT is Bugis, however, it takes a while to find this hotel by walking from the mrt station. Pro 1. mini bar drinks are free 2. free drinks & peanuts from 5pm to 7pm at hotel lounge 3. hotel receptionist staffs are friendly cons 1. no windows 2. housekeeping lady is unfriendly 3. not much... stayed here just for a single night. was upgraded to deluxe for free and the room was tiny, so I can't imagine what the standard room must have been like. I had no objections to the size though but people with big luggages would definitely not have room to open their suitcases. liked the platform bed and that they provided... More

Room size a little small. The twin beds are put parallel with no space in between. No window but with a curtain. Toilet size also a little bit small and no shower curtain available which makes nearly the whole bathroom wet after bath. Look clean, towels without smell, bath gel did not cause me allergy, toothbrushes, shower caps, conditioner and... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
