I booked the cheapest single room here so that I could rest in-between checking out from my original hotel and having to go to the airport later that night. Certainly wouldn't want to spend my holiday here! From the time I arrived and was greeted (grunted at) by a very unfriendly large Indian man to the time I checked out... More

We stayed at Le Hotel for one night in December 2013 while traveling from Bali to Kuala Lumpur. Our stay at this centrally located establishment turned out to be the low point of our entire trip. The room we stayed in was unbelievably small, lacked windows and pretty much everything else other than a bed. I suppose this is what's... More

There's not necessarily anything wrong with this hotel. It's just that it's nowhere near 3 star standard. It's more like a slightly upmarket hostel - I'd have been delighted had we been paying hostel prices, but at 3 star hotel prices, it's a rip off. Presumably it's position near Clarke Quay ramps up the price, so I'd urge travellers who... More

We booked a room online in the morning but when we arrived to a not so friendly receptionist we were told we were being moved to another hotel. The location of Le Hotel was why we booked it and we are moved to another hotel which was miles out of town towards the airport. The other hotel was fine as... More

We arrived to a hotel in a great location near Clark Quay MRT and shopping precinct which was a good start, being early we were not sure if they would check us in but they did which was also terrific, off to our room and up to the 4th floor in the lift all is good, until we opened the... More

We booked 2 rooms and I expected the small rooms (it's a budget hotel in Singapore) - I could live with that. But what surprised me was that the rooms were not cleaned properly. The bathrooms were old and dirty - need thorough cleaning and disinfection to remove the scum and mold on walls, floors, tile grouts, fixtures - practically... More

The location is really strategic.Located just in front of Clarke Quay Centre, and bus stop and MRT station is only 5-7 minutes walking distance. The room is surprisingly quite big,so we got plenty space for our shopping stuff & luggage.the... More

Dear ayupermatadewi, Thank you for writing a review for us at Le Hotel Carpenter Street. Indeed our rooms are much larger than some of the other newer hotels around the area and we prioritize cleanliness and comfortable beds for all our rooms. Unfortunately we do not have a breakfast option as of yet but we are exploring a breakfast option... More

Price: i got a single bed room with a very good price. Even though it's twice the price of another hostel but so worth it. Location: it is very near to the Clarke Quay MRT, The Central and the Clarke riverside. 5 mins walk. It is only a walking distance to bugis, nigthlife, chinatown. Very convinient. Room: the room is... More

Dear coolchiki, Thank you for writing a review for us at Le Hotel Carpenter Street. Yes indeed the single room with a shared bathroom you booked cost about double the price of a single bed in a hostel dorm room, but the privacy in this private single room shared with no one else is what sets us apart from hostels.... We booked the superior double room. Even with all our luggage inside, it was spacious and comfortable. The worst part of the stay was we kept finding our room door open when we would return at the end of the day. This probably happened because housekeeping. Nothing was stolen, it was just a little unnerving because it happened twice during... More

Dear Charisse, Thank you for your kind review on Le Hotel Carpenter Street. Thank you for your feedback on the door left open and the shower leak. We have spoken to our housekeeping staff on this and have taken extra effort to make sure room doors are closed after the room has been cleaned. We will also look into getting... More
