The only things good about this hotel is the good location. Its just right opposite Clarke Quay mrt station. Less than 5min walk. But the rest are horrible. 1 star is definitely the only rating i could give. The room is super small to even wide open your luggage. The bathroom is acceptable size but is not well maintained. Stayed for a week here during the end/beginning of the year. The rooms are very small and there isn't a toilet or shower in each room. Other than that, the price is relatively inexpensive considering the good location. Also, the staff was very helpful when I needed some information about the area.

I have stayed there for one day for business purpose. First of all I don't know why I had to pay another 50 SGD for " early booking "?? Anyway the hotel is way to expensive for the service quality they provide. The room has no windows and very small. You have a decent bed and an obsolete tv which... More

For the following reasons: 1.       The room was very small (10 feet X 10 feet) 2.       Shared bathroom which meant that I had to walk a few rooms along the lobby to use a bathroom 3.       The air conditioning was not adequate (not centrally air conditioned). 4.       Room and bed-sheets smell funny 5. No windows in room 6. Carpets along the lobby are stained... More

As Singapore is famous for small rooms of most hotels, my room was disappointed, Actually I booked by booking.com and it indicated the hotel has twin beds in standard room type. But they had only double bed type in standard rooms. I was astornished because I found a cockroach on the table as soon as I opened the door. The... More

I stayed at the Le Hotel Carpenter on the last 2 nights of my Singapore trip. I booked the standard room with shared bathroom. Unfortunately the bathrooms are on every floor except the ground floor where I was placed. That's fine I accepted that, it happens. Only the bathroom is in less desirable condition, untidy with a shower that is... More

I booked the cheapest single room here so that I could rest in-between checking out from my original hotel and having to go to the airport later that night. Certainly wouldn't want to spend my holiday here! From the time I arrived and was greeted (grunted at) by a very unfriendly large Indian man to the time I checked out... More

We stayed at Le Hotel for one night in December 2013 while traveling from Bali to Kuala Lumpur. Our stay at this centrally located establishment turned out to be the low point of our entire trip. The room we stayed in was unbelievably small, lacked windows and pretty much everything else other than a bed. I suppose this is what's... More

There's not necessarily anything wrong with this hotel. It's just that it's nowhere near 3 star standard. It's more like a slightly upmarket hostel - I'd have been delighted had we been paying hostel prices, but at 3 star hotel prices, it's a rip off. Presumably it's position near Clarke Quay ramps up the price, so I'd urge travellers who... More
