It has the necessity need for a hotel -- even though the room quite small for a single person but it's okay for rest, quite neighborhood & close to the airport, make it easy to come to airport only 15 minutes way from Changi. super helpful since i'm catching an early flight where bus hasn't run. wifi work okay as... Let me start with the only positives this place is cheap by Singapore standards and it is centric but that is about it, the rest is better to forget as soon as possible because the place is extremely small, claustrophobic and not very clean. Receptionist was extremely rude and you can't even get the lighting right. So if you want... More

I had booked for a standard double, when I said I'm staying alone, I'm given a single room which is bloody small. They will get away with this as you can't do anything. To me its just haizzzz! For me, thats privacy, staff don't say hello, you just walk into the elevator and go up to your room as nobody... More

Stayed at this place using groupon's voucher. Everything seems fine until we went in the room and realised that the aircon was not working. We had to open our door for 4 hours for the aircon to be fixed. Even the aircon at the the corridor had somehow cooled down our room when our doors were opened for so long.... More

The hotel has many rooms with no windows (reckon it's the single occupancy rooms). The room space is just adequate for one guest. The attached toilet and shower are very modest in size. Be prepared for the frequent bumps as you move about in there. The room comes with a single bed, wooden wardrobe, small table, side table and a... More

The hotel is not far from Airport, you will spend around 15 SG$+. They have 50 SG$ deposit, and will get after check out. The room is very small with no window and small skylight. You cannot control light and cannot sleep in day! If you are near to the lift you cannot sleep as well; very noisy and busy.... More

We ended up here by accident as almost the whole city was sold out but in the end we were very happy. First we got the room wich was so small you could'n even keep your suitcase open! And there was no real window, only a rooftop hole (thanks for that though!). But after this we got to change to... More

As an experienced traveller......cheap hotels in SP are often small, noisy, dirty, unfriendly, smelly.......... it's unfortunately the SP greedy mentality. I paid Aust $88 and got a good room, a bit of air con noise from outside the room and reception might not be up to your standards, they don't kiss a............ The AC was good, the bed/toilet/shower good and... More

With a two night layover on route home, this hotel offers the convenience of being reasonably close to the airport and proximity to lots of places to eat and drink. The rooms are small but adequate for purpose. Some reviewers have complained about the lack of windows which makes me wonder the worth of a window. This is a basic... More

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighborhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighborhood is packed with colorful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
