Stayed for a week in May 2015. The hotel staff cannot do enough and Jeffrey was very helpful at check in. Admittedly the rooms are small but hey it's just a bed after all! The hotel is close to bus and MRT links. However forget all that and get your walking shoes on, Orchard Road, Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay... More

The hotel was very good to me, although the room seemed small, since I was traveling solo, that wasn't really an issue. Many thanks to Jeffrey at the front desk for plying me with coffee to keep me awake whilst I was waiting for the room to be ready,I had gotten in about 4am(I probably should have advised them beforehand... Stayed with a friend at this great hotel for 6 nights. Although room was slightly small, everything was very clean and beds comfortable. The staff were great! They ensured we were looked after everyday and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The young gentleman working night shift and the manager (both wear glasses...didn't get their names) were fantastic!... More

Our 5 night stay at the Nostalgia Hotel was one of the best experiences we have had to date! The service at the hotel (Perry & Willie in particular) were extremely friendly and so helpful. Little things like opening the doors when we walked in or out, receiving a friendly greeting each morning an night and the efficiency Perry had... More

What a value in such an expensive city. The room was smaller but luxurious, and the restaurant served incredibly good food. I had an Italian dish with chicken and pasta that was so amazing that I ordered it twice. The staff was extremely helpful in assisting me with planning my limited time in Singapore. They helped make my day and... More

we've stayed here for 3 days and I could say I could not complain anything about this hotel. Wonderful location, next to wet market so you could find many food stalls, 2 bus stop to Tiong Bahru MRT. Free and strong wifi, great staffs to help anytime. Definitely we will come back here.

Were booked this hotel using a discount offer we found when flying Singapore airlines and paid about $38 for the 2 nights BARGAIN! Located on Tiong Bahru Road the hotel is a small boutique style. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable and have ensuites. There is a coffee shop which is good or you can venture across... More

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They greeted us before we got to the door and took our luggage. Check-in was a breeze. Room attendants were most helpful and gracious. All staff wonderful. Hotel smells wonderful and is very clean as is the pool. The pool is small but ample. Nice to have a... More

A lovely little hotel, quiet and comfortable, with very nice staff. Small but nice, clean rooms. A small pool under trees on the terrace. It's a good area to explore on foot. There's a bustling local food market just across the road. Lots of cafes of different types in surrounding streets, from western to different Chinese to stylish pastry coffee... More

Staying in Tiong Bahru

Neighborhood Profile
Tiong Bahru
Home to both local families and transient expats, Tiong Bahru is a fascinating mix of tradition and youthful creativity. Its status as a conservation area ensures that this little hub has charm and heritage on display at every corner, while the 1930s art deco architecture provides a glimpse of days gone by. Stock up on fresh tropical fruits at the wet market, browse high quality literature and children’s books, shop for interesting gifts and local fashion, or munch on bargain-priced hawker food as the aroma of frying noodles and fresh-brewed coffee wafts through the air. Cap your day with a massage and a latte, a glass of wine, or a pain au chocolat from one of the many busy bakeries. An afternoon in this vibrant and beautiful neighborhood is not to be missed.
