Located about 400 meters away from Little India MRT by walk, this hotel was a great choice for me. If you're going to be travelling around Singapore (by MRT/cabs) and going to spend very little time (just the night), then this is quite suitable as it is reasonably priced and has all the basic facilities one needs like a safe,... Spent three nights at the Santa Grand Hotel Little India in July 2015. While the room was EXTREMELY small and there was no view out the window, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked very well, and the location in Little India was convenient. Compared to the high costs of other hotels in Singapore, this hotel turned out to... More

We booked the hotel putting down 3ppl (2 adult + 1 child), and we still got a room with 2 twin bed. Go figure. Room is very very tiny- no where to put and open your luggage. Window is covered with thick curtain - leave it that way because outside is a wall anyway. Aircon is cold but making loud... More

We booked a Room with windows and received a small Room without because everything else was full. No sorry, nothing. Just business there. Anyway, location is not nice, quit a walk to the MRT. Not really clean and that the watermaker for coffee not worked we just found out in the morning where we, at least, wanted to enjoy a... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are extremely small. There was no place to put my luggage. The room was not clean. Window was dirty. The room is much worse and small than the pictures on the websites. The third day I had to shift to another hotel nearby. There are many hotels nearby that charge around S$100... More

Overall a good budget hotel with basic facility and no frills. We stayed in Family Triple Room for 5 nights. One issue we faced was there was no lock in the bathroom. If you are traveling with young kids then it becomes little nuisance. Other than this we had a very pleasant stay. Location is a plus (Little India) with... More

I stayed for 2 nights in room 309 double room. Room is clean, with large double bed and spacious shower and bathroom. I was surprised because as you walk through the front entrance of the hotel it is very narrow and tighgt, and you fear the worst. Actually the hotel is quite spacious and extensive over several floors. Floors are... More

I lived at room 309 for a week, with constant noise from the air con, strong smell from the restaurant next door through the leaky window all day long, and hot water that lasts only 5 minutes. Room attendants were unprofessional. They forgot to give me new towels once and shampoo at another time.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
