Dirty, old furniture, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. By far most the worse hotel I stayed in on my honeymoon journey. I booked this hotel through asiatravel crazy hot deals it sayed that it was a 4 stars hotel. I wouldn't give it more than 2 stars. The room is super dirty the furniture is super old. Even from all the... More

My husband and I, and two sons, had a one night stopover in Singapore on the night of Monday 23 June, and then again on Monday 14 July. On both occasions we stayed at the Hotel Royal on Newton. While the two rooms we had were perfectly adequate for our needs and were clean and comfortable, the check in service... More

Our group size was three so we booked a room of two and paid extra money for adding the third person. However, other than adding an extra bed, everything in the room remained the same – only two sets of shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush etc., and we only have one luggage stand. We also found a layer of dust on... More

Loved my stay. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was very nice however did smell a bit musty. There is a bus stop right outside but found it easier to walk up 10 mins to the train station. Would stay again and recommend it to friends.

A very Asian hotel. Stayed here for work but would not stay here as a tourist. Guests are mainly from China and they are very loud, brash with very bad manners, undisciplined kids (and adults) – 3-4 big bus loads of them! Kids sitting on lift floor, running along corridors screaming and yelling (and talking at the top of their... More

We stayed here for only one night as a stopover on the return flight home. The hotel is easy yo find and well located for the metro. Check in was painless and the room adequate. The hotel is confirtable and clean but showing signs if ageing, particularly the bathroom. Refurbishment was obviously going an as we could during our stay... More

The hotel is a bit run down, the TV had very few channels and poor reception, no Wi-Fi and the room was odd in its layout. It had a large changing room which was pointless and only a reasonable size living area. The bathroom was a little small as well. The space could have been used a lot better. That... More

The room was quite large and well furnished. The location was also convenient for public transportation since there's a bus stop right out front, and Novena MRT station a short walk away. However, there were holes in the towels, and the sandals they provided looked like they had been used before. I think there were also rust stains around the... More

An older hotel but clean and spacious. Understand it is undergoing renovations so some folks may have stayed in older rooms. I did not encounter any of the bad things mentioned by other reviewers. There was a slight smell but I believe it was incense and it was Ramadan when I stayed here. Great location, walking distance to Novena MRT... More
