There are two Prince of Wales hostels in Singapore...if you want to stay at the nicer of the two, in the cleanest area of the country, near to all of the landmarks and hotspots...be sure to stay in the Boat Quay location rather than the Little India location. We took the MRT to and from Changi to POW and used... More

I'm not too picky on accommodation usually (generally go for the cheapest) this dorm was surprisingly welcome with enough showers and plug sockets for all to use. Security isn't the best as everyone uses the same code for entry. Bathrooms and dorm were nice and clean and the beds comfy.

Booked to stay in Townsville room for two night. Some of the issues we had where: Hearing people in other rooms like they where in same room. This was in part due to a strange flimsy "wall" behind the bed head. Room smelt musty and could use very good clean. The bed is shot, springs in back and badly curved... More

This is the worse hostel I have ever stayed at in my entire life and I have backpacked through Europe and Asia before. The room was overpriced but I booked it last minute at the airport after being up all night so I made a poor mistake in choosing this place. My room smells musty and not clean, there has... More

We stayed at POW Boat Quay for a couple of days. The place is well situated in the city center with a great view along the quay. It is situated in the middle of the restaurant mile. So be aware of the noise if you are traveling during the weekend. The room was ok, big enough but not very clean.... More

I was in this hostel for a few nights and I was so happy when I could leave. I reservated the room online and that was a big big mistake. The room was small directed in the bathroom area had no window and had a bed smell. The smell of the bathroom came in the room and there was no... More

This was our first backpacker experience with my husband. We stayed for 2 nights. This hostel is a very nice place with great night-life. We enjoyed making and having our breakfast at the riverside. You make meet many nice people staying here, as all the other backpackers are very friendly and open. The place is quite near to many attractions... More

This is not a review of the hostel, but only of the bar, which is charming, friendly and (for Singapore) reasonably priced. It was surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday night - probably because we chose to sit indoors with the airconditioning rather than outdoors beside the Singapore River and the smokers. The snacks - toasted sandwiches, chicken wings and so... More

I stayed at this hostel for 1 night with a friend. We chose this hostel as it is one of the cheapest places that we could find to stay and it was also recommended to us by a friend. We decided to stay in the girls only dormitory. Upon our arrival there were only 3 girls in the room so... More

Me and my wife just got married and agreed to have our honeymoon abroad. We checked all the hotels/hostels around SG but decided that we do it Backpacker style. Lucky for us we came across Prince of Wales Backpacker at Baot Quay. It's a very very very nice place, just alongside the river and it has a cool view of... More
