My stay at the rucksack inn was very pleasant. Great location in the middle of Chinatown. Rooms, showers and toilets are always clean. The rooms are a bit small, but aside fro that, i have mothing negative to stay about the hostel. Would definetly recommend.

The position of this hostel is very good: 5 min from the metro. I stayed in a six femel bed room. There was not so much space for our luggages but the beds were good. The hostel is very clean. There are separated toilets and showers (which was not so obvious in Malaysia). Staff people very friendly.

I've been in Singapore during 20-23 September which is the period of F1 world grand prix. One of the reason that you should stay at this motel is that it's close to the MRT Chinatown that it takes only 5 minutes to get to the motel. The motel is clean and both toilet and bathroom are in good hygiene condition.... More

Good location, near MRT Chinatown and famous street food centres such as Smith St. hawker food centre and Maxwell. Good price for backpackers with all-day light brakfast, coffee and tea. High pressure water in bathrooms and toilets. Free wifi and 3 Macs. Friendly and helpful staffs. Down side is tiny bathrooms and toilets but I could accept. This is one... More

The location of the hostel was very near the MRT station and this is a great plus. The hostel has a no shoe policy and they provided us with shoe boxes to keep our shoes. The shower rooms downstairs are very tiny, and I had to be careful not to wet my clothes that I'm about to change into after... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
