I'm sorry to point out this single negative about this hostel. Andrew the owner is wonderful & helpful - you couldn't meet a better gentleman. The location & security of the hostel is great. Wifi is strong. There is no breakfast provided though TA says so; ServiceWorld website does not claim to offer it. No worries. The set menu in... More

Stayed August 2014 on a weekend visit to see a friend. It was so good i returned for a weekend in Perfect location in Chinatown near a food court and 5 mins from the MRT station. Room has 4 bunks cleverly arranged for more privacy (each has a small curtain). Shared bathroom clean. Air conditioning and wifi both work well.... More

This was the cheapest hotel we could find online. The facilities were great. The location was good, comfortable beds, good shower, well managed and clean and also good value. this place is definitely recommended for low budget travelers.

I would recommend this hostel to anyone who visits SG. The location is perfect, the beds are comfortable and the owner Andrew is very nice. The hostel even has a working AC and the shower is the best I I've seen this month ;) For backpackers this is the ideal place to stay.

The one hostel is in Chinatown the other one which has the same name (same owner) is just a few waking minutes away. The hostel itself is clean and easy. For travellers who want to live lowbudged or don't need much extras it's totally enough and the price is the best one you'll get in ttown. The owner is very... More

Nice hostel but very basic and can be load if there are lots of people. The breakfast and free wifi were good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location near Chinatown and the MRT was very convenient and everything was a short walk away.

Just only cheap hostel with supreme location next to outrampark MRT 2-5 min walkaway. I stay on a share room for 10 ppl. The sheet just so so. The toilet was very small, but still ok for me. But the cleanliness of the toilet was so bad. Breakfast just so so, but they have their own restaurant for breakfast.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
