We stayed at the footprints hostel for 4 nights in a 12 beds mixed dorm with air condition. The room and the common areas were nice, big and clean. The bathrooms were divided in male and female and had separate toilets and showers. They were cleaned regularly so it was no problem sharing. It was located in little India close... More

Came in this morning and found the place to be nice. I will be staying in the city only for a few hours and so would rather sleep it off than roam. The receptionist was extra nice today. She's just like a friend who is having u stay at her home. No elevator. But use the stairs. Wifi is good.... More

This is a cheap place to crash in Singapore. It's not too bad although you can find it pretty satisfying if you have low standards. The dorms are tiny, there's hardly enough room to put your bags. The bathrooms are a bit grim. The common areas are OK, kitchen is pretty decent and the outside porch is a plus. I... More

The price was excellent at the hostel and is the reason we booked in a night. The location is good (near little India - great for food, and bugis station - great for transport links) and the staff are friendly. There is decent wifi access in the rooms which was a plus. The rooms are a little small but not... More

We had our two kids and Grandma and needed a place to sleep that wasn't going to break the bank - Footprints delivered. We had a 6 bunk with ensuite and while it wasn't glamourous it was affordable. The first day we had some roaches to expel but they never reappeared. The beds were comfortable and the AC was very... More

I had an overnight stay here whilst travelling on. It was a tad tricky to find first time, but i was tired so that could account for that. The directions that were emailed to me were pretty good. The hostel did not smell clean and fresh, rather like old socks. However, I did see cleaning carts and cleaning staff. The... More

The place smelt like a week old curry, the staff were very "who cares" attitude. We asked for a top and bottom sheet and were told that they are not supplied, we pushed the issue as we had seen them on the other beds in our very tiny dorm and were finally given an extra sheet. The extra sheet was... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
