This hotel is located about four blocks from the rapid transit station. I should warn travelers that you walk through a male prostitute area during the night. There are also a number of restaurants and Chinese grocery stores along the way. The rapid transit station has a bakery and juice shop and we ended up patronizing them every day.

This hotel is situated in geylang city its 15 minutes walk to aljunaide MRT station. About the hotel, rooms are very small and no balcony. They haven't clean Under the beds and cupboards. And also the barth room is very small. But the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A new choice in a familiar quarter. I stayed for parts of two days before and following a trip to Malaysia. The property completely fulfilled my expectations in ALL aspects and exceeded several of them. A planned power outage of one hour resulted in my being upgraded to a family room on my first visit. Hot water, at both shower-tub... More

Small room size is the order of the day in Singapore. So, I guess it is even pointless to mention that. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my wife and it was not that too bad in comparison with many other Singapore Hotels. It is indeed an old hotel, The staff (all senior in their 50's) are... This was the only available hotel room (not the backpackers sort) we could find in Singapore below RM 200.... we were well aware that it is located in a seedy red light district but we figured that it'd be OK since we were travelling as a couple (I don't recommend that single female travellers stay here...). Cons: Room smelled of... More

the room was nice. Air-conditioner and water heater were good. Cabinets were wide enough to put our baggages. My husband said that he love its TV channels. And I loved the full-body mirror,,, It really helped me to check myself out :) In addition to the room, we chose santa Grand Aljunied because of the strategic location close to MRT... More

The hotel room very nice and near to mrt Aljunied station. Bed so comfy but need to put in extra pillow. Need more sports channel as it get to bored sometimes with the same programme. Anyway, why the Santa Grand Hotel West Coast too expensive?

It's clean but complicated area. But it is convenient because it's very near to the MRT station and there's a lot of coffee shops around. If you don't mind to see prostitution everyday, it will be recommended. Try to look for hotels in Chinatown instead, it's a better location ;)

Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
