We booked this hotel at the last minute as we had decided to extend our trip. We paid slightly more however we were willing to do it as it was located smack bang in the middle of DMall. We were given complimentary drinks upon checking it which compensated for the slightly long check in time which we had experienced. The... More

It's interesting to read other guests reviews; possibly expectations of traveling to a third world country differ from mine. As a seasoned wanderer (10 months of traveling SEA) I was impressed with The Tides. The Good: - Price was affordable for a CLEAN modern, updated standard room with great amenities. (Peak Season Chinese New Year $120 per night on Agoda)... More

I stayed here a week with my wife. The good: The hotel is quite clean and the staff were for the most part friendly. Also the location is quite good. Although not on the beach it takes a minute to get to the water. The bad: I stayed in the exceptional king room. There was nothing exceptional about it. I... More

We started here for two weeks. It wasn't our intention to stay here the entire trip, however, we couldn't find anywhere else central that was of good value. This hotel is bang in the middle of the islands tourist area so I'd recommend if you wish to be amongst it all. Otherwise found a hotel at either end of Boracay.... More

the hotel is located right smack in the centre of Dmall! And is only about 1 min walk to the beach. Room wise is fantastic! Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel has a awesome pool but sad to say, didnt have the chance to use it. If u are looking for a hotel that is directly facing the... More

ok so this place is right in the Dmall the rooms are nice and fancy but there's no view . the pool and bar is on the roof and looks deceiving from their website. it's surrounded by constructions. the lobby is step off from the alley . and the way to the rooms are outdoor stairs . overall I wouldn't... PROS: - Very good location. Surrounded with restaurants, bars, shopping, ATM - Short walk to the beach - Contemporary design. Good sized rooms. Nice bar & pool area on the rooftop - Free wifi in all areas of the hotel - Staff very cordial & friendly. Hotel transfers a breeze. CONS: - Mattress a little bit on the stiff side... More

Good location. it's in station 2 which is in the middle of everything. Good restaurant, bars, clubs etc. Bad service. Very slow and unhelpful. We even caught some of them trying to peep into the room through the glass window. Room wasn't clean. It was filled with ants. When we complained to the reception, they sent someone up to spray... Stayed here last year of October and I must say it's still a good location, though not beachfront. Hotel is very chic, clean & the staff friendly. It's pretty close to D'mall(shopping boutiques), banks, money changers, restaurants, coffee shops. Some PROS & CONS about the Tides: PROS: Good selection of breakfast =) My partner love their bacon. Great Pool area,... More

The hotel is fairly clean, and the staff friendly. The basic rooms are very small, so if you stay here I recommend upgrading to the bigger room. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, and overall it was good value IMO. The location is central for shopping and eating as it's inside the D-plaza, and only a 5 minute walk to... More
