Really nice service from the locals who works there. They are just smiles and lots of positivity. Unfortenately the vibe is not what it could have been, because of drunk germans always hanging out in the bar. The owner is german and it seems like he has some german friends hanging out there all the time.. The rooms are cheap,... More

A family run business with swimming pool, big rooms and great food. All the people was very kind and helpful, and also very honest. When leaving I left behind my wallet with my credit cards and quite a few money and they contacted me and bring it to me personally with their car. A super class people :)

The pleasant stay we had at this lovely family run establishment cannot be overstated. We were indulged with every request, every step of the way. From fitting in an extra bed to setting up a generator during a power failure. We were caught in a typhoon, yet they took every step to ensure our trip would still be enjoyable. Highlights... More

We got stranded here during thyphoon Ruby by chance and it was the best thing that could have happened. Really nice staff! Pool table for free, pool and every room has got its own motorbike so u can visit the whole island by yourself. So i just can really recommend this hotel.

we stayed one week at this family run resort and liked the quiet "5 minutes outside from town" flair. the motorbike which is including in the room price is a great deal and lets you easily explore more of panglao island and bohol - if you can ride a motorbike. the rooms are cleaned daily if you wish so and... If you are on a budget but still want to experience Panglao Island then I don't think you can do any better than Calypso Resort. The rooms are big and comfortable with your own porch AND includes the unlimited use of a small motor bike. We stayed for nearly a month I think it was and used the bike to... More

Oir trycicle driver took us to Calypso. It is a real backpaper place. So if you are not into antzs, and lack of commodities, avoid the place. If you dont mind them, go for it, is a good money offer with the bike included (no problem for us). But bear in mind that the place is not clean and not... More

Terrible stay here, so much went wrong. The deal of motorbike and room seems like a good price at first, then you see why. I'm not usually too fussy about accomodation but the mattress felt like a bunch of springs covered by a sheet. Food is average at best and way overpriced, no other restaurants nearby. Two out of three... More

Being the owner of Calypso Resort, I would like to clear the following. 1. We are a budget resort. While most resorts in Alona turn around a price range from 1500 to 10000 php a day, without any bikes included, we charge 770 a day, bike included. Our rooms have been refreshed and the whole resort repainted this year. Any... More
