If you want to travel to the Philippines and experience the Filipino way of living then this place is a must! Situated in the centre of town it is in a perfect location close to the shops and the the Baywalk. Pristine Beach is only a 50php tricycle away (15minutes). We stayed here twice, on the way to El Nido... More

I can't understand how this hotel has more than even one star. The neighborhood it is located in is narrow, dark, and scary. The staff were rude and crooked (charging me for the "free shuttle there" and my entire stay even though I cancelled as soon as I arrived there). First off, the entrance gate is a chicken-wire fence with... More

We stayed at Matutina for few nights. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is extremaly friendly, they will surely help you with everything you need! They are really greate people :) What suprised us in positive way, was that Matutina is making it's own beer - you should definetly try it, as it's the best beer I have drinked in... More

Our trip to Palawan was in Dec 2013. I was a bit skeptical to do all the transactions via email and texts, since a bank deposit had to be made prior to us arriving. Speaking to Malou and reading all the reviews put me at ease. We arrived a little earlier than the staff expected and our room was not... More

- lousy free breakfast, ridiculous cooking fee even if you supply all ingredients for a simple corned beef - noisy neighborhood with dogs barking in the middle of the night - water supply for bath was cut several times during our stay

We stayed at the family room of 8...it was a great ambience. Had a good rest except for the too soft foams they had for the bed, but tolerable. Staff is helpful when asked. My favorite area is the hammock at the open area of the mansion. It was relaxing. During our stay, there were some difficulties on the water... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! The water crisis here in Puerto Princesa City has been addressed by the water authorities and we (the whole city!) are happy to say, they did a pretty amazing job at it! :) Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you again soon! More

I love how they treat their guests, Ms Mhalou especially. Honest and very accommodating staff and service is superb. We booked a family room good for 4 persons and it was huge with complete basic bathroom necessities. The room and the bathroom are clean as to be expected. Wifi is working very well in our rooms but dwindles when we... More

Matutina Pensionne House easily provided the warm ambience of a provincial home. We arrived early morning so we had to wait for our room check-in. The good thing is we easily found a place in the compound where to relax -- the hammocks! I swear it could easily rock me to sleep. Malu and the rest of the staff are... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! Palaweño Brewery's specialty brews are served on a seasonal basis here at Matutina Pensionne, but regular brews are a staple. We would love for you to come by again soon! More

While in Puerto Princesa last Feb 7-9, 2014, my family stayed in this B&B. It was really a home-away-from-home experience. I felt we were in our own home. It's so clean, the staff were were warm -- especially the manager, Malu! And even before we came in, communicating with Malu was very nice & cordial, and response was fast. Thank... More

Nestled in a very quiet neighbourhood, yet, within walking distance to busy Rizal Ave, where the famed Kalui restaurant is located. The pension setting is very warm, and the rooms very clean. Malu has been very helpful in organising our tours, which, we enjoyed immensely. Will return on our next trip to PPS.
