If there's one thing that made my rating this high, it's Palo Alto's staff. They are so friendly and customer-oriented. They treat you with genuine kindness with their nice smiles and attentiveness. The only reason I could not give a perfect score is it's location. It's about 5-10 minutes away from city proper via tricycle but I am not complaining.... More

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Palawan just last week. Palo Alto was not really our first option but we opted to stay here since we've heard great reviews about it and we actually friends with the relative of the owners. True enough, we had the same wonderful experience as everyone else that we know who have been... More

Pauline and the staff went the extra mile for us from the very start. We were a party of 14 and that wouldn't be too exciting to many hotels, but they realized that this was a very big deal to us, the first time everyone in our extended family was able to get together. It was a special time for... More

Hotel is hidden away from the main street, the rooms are very unique and look almost like treehouses. The staff greet you upon check in with a drink and are always willing to assist you. The staff were able to organise a last minute El Nido package with only 1 day notice for 14 people, very impressive! On the first... More

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. There was a free (pick-up and drop-off to hotel and from the airport and vice versa) van service and the driver was always punctual. Thank you Mervin (our friendly driver). When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with warm smiles by the friendly and so helpful staff of Palo Alto.... More

Nice and helpful staff, excellent food, beautiful surroundings, clean and nice-size rooms, would definitely recommend it. It is approx. 15 mins from the airport and downtown restaurants, the Robinson's mall is 10mins walk / 3min tricycle ride away. The island hopping tour definitely worth the money! :)

The place looks cute and romantic but when the veil is lifted it isn't anything that special. The rooms was clean but smelled of pungent mildew. The staff was nice but extremely inexperienced in hospitality leaving us frustrated. They didn't do much to help claiming our car was late but when I peeked around the corner 30 minutes later it... Palo Alto is very isolated. My trike driver had a bit of a struggle to find it even with my screen shot of Google Maps. There is nowhere to walk to, dine or have drink in the area. I really liked the reception and the gardens and had good expectations. Regretably they were not met. On arrival I was hungry... More

After reading that Palo Alto was a must stay in Lonely Planet: Philippines's book, we (2 people) booked a 2 night stay this past November. Let's start with the good. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with rooms arranged over 3 floors in a rectangle overlooking a green space. There is also free breakfast! We particularly enjoyed having free Filipino breakfast...
