House of Rose has been a part of my Phlippines adventure - what a great part! We really enjoyed its location outside the town, very quite but still close enough to get wherever you want. It was impossible not to befriend people taking care of us, we truly enjoyed our time here. We stayed in a luxury room, which served... More

I have stayed here with my family for around one week two years ago. This hotel consists of few lovely cottages, made of natural materials. Inside they are spacious and the beds are huge. All of them also have mosquito nets above them which can come really handy. The rooms are clean and the place is situated in quiet neighbourhood.... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are basic and clean. The location is quiet and towards the end of a no through road, surrounded by vegetation. The restaurant serves decent food at a sensible cost. The staff organised a couple of tours for me and were helpful and polite at all times. The WiFi works. Recommended place in... More

I decided to stay at this place after the trycycle driver promised me to beat the dorm rate at the hostel I was planning to go to. I paid 300ps for a dorm which turned out to be private. The staff is very friendly, the bar/restaurant (expensive) is social and the rooms clean. Though close to the airport and beach... More

We stayed there twice; before and after El Nido. Before we got one room with 5 beds, but since there were only the two of us, we got the whole room to ourselves. Walking distance to a public "beach", not too nice for swimming, but you can walk along it and have a beer in the bungalows, it's really nice.... More

We went to Palawan for a short vacation. Out of 4 inns/hotels we checked, we decided to stay in House of Rose. What I like in this place: * Quiet * Staff are very nice * They have outdoor pool (which we used for maximum 10 minutes) What I dont like in this place: * Not accessible by tricycle *... More

I was in Puerto Princesa on june 2010 and I slept for 3 days at House of Rose, people are friendly and they can help you to plan your stay on Palawan Isl. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. It's near the airport, and the owner is a fun kiwy old man! :)

We stayed there only for one night on our way from El Nido, and we are happy we didn't stay any longer. All we had was problems with the owner (not Philippino, i think he is Australian or something)... He charged us more than we agreed to pay. He claims that he didn't receive our e-mail enquiries about the prices,... More

House of Rose is a beautiful hotel and have the loveliest Philippino staff, but the owner proved to be the most dishonest, so I would not recommend this hostel unless you want to pay more than the rate you agreed upon! Indeed, we had to change the date of our stay and emailed the hostel to make sure they understood... More
