El Nido, Palawan as a destination deserves its own write-up for being just spectacularly beautiful but I'll limit this to the resort itself. We stayed at Miniloc mainly because friends had told us that most activities begin here and that snorkeling at the "house" reef was so great you didn't have to venture anywhere. Very true on both counts! Didn't... More

Our stay at Miniloc was the best resort experience I have ever had. It wasn't the most luxurious place I've ever stayed but its combination of perfect service, excellent food, pristine location, comfortable accommodations, endless activities and amenities were unmatched in all my travels. The resort's location on Miniloc Island is ideal. The house reef has enough marine life to... More

Miniloc Resort (and the El Nido Resorts in general) is an exceptional destination. While catering to a large number of guests, the experience is tailored to your desires, and every element of our stay was exceptional. ... except the food. Included in our rate was a rotating buffet, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A la carte dining was an incremental... More

I stayed at Miniloc for one long week end at the end of March 2012, from Friday through Monday. I shared a Garden Room with two other people. Before leaving, some people warned me that the infrastructure was going to be old. I believe the resort was recently renovated as our room looked new and well kept. Staying at El... More

Wow! An incredible experience right from the start all the way through to the very end. There are not enought good things to say about this resort and its staff who were generous, warm hearted, and truly wanted to share with us their little piece of heaven. The natural environment was nothing short of spectacular, breathtaking, and just simply beautiful.... More

When you initially see the prices for this resort it seems very high in comparison to other places. However, once you are there it is worth every penny/cent. Price includes endless water, coffee and tea delivered to your room (if desired), three good quality buffet meals, various excursions by boat to several islands and buffet style lunch if you are... The entire experience from the flight to the staff singing farewell was unforgettable and worth every penny. The landscape, views and water (great snorkeling and diving) are beautiful but it's the staff that really make the experience. They are so genuinely helpful and do everything they can to make your visit the best it can be. We had an extremely... More

Came to El Nido for a week for our honeymoon but stayed here at Miniloc Island Resort for 3D/2N. For us budget-conscious Filipino travelers, Miniloc is expensive. But since this is our honeymoon trip, we made an exception. Plus the fact that Deal Grocer had this deal for the resort that came just when we were planning our El Nido... More

We debated whether we wanted to return to the Maldives or give El Nido a try. We opted for El Nido and obviously stayed at Miniloc; and did not have any regrets. Like many of the previous reviews, staying at Miniloc is an experience that starts before you board the plane at the private hanger in Manila. It is a... More

Since there are plenty of reviews praising Miniloc, I'll offer some perspective for those trying to choose between Miniloc and Lagen. First, let me say that Miniloc was absolutely fantastic -- definitely a bit on the rustic side and not for those who are expecting modern 5-star luxury like the Four Seasons or Oberoi. But for those who want an... More
