I am moved to write this review in gratitude to the great staff running this island starting with Jeffrey, the manager, whose influence can be felt in the constantly smiling and accomodating staff. From Dhally who welcomed us and gave us the inspiration to be active to Noki, our patient tour guide who passionately explained the flaura and fauna of... more

Our Philippine trip has been wonderful so far, the people have been lovely, the places superb (credit goes to my prior research on most everything), and even the weather has been cooperative for the most part. But bar none, nothing has compared to El Nido on Miniloc island. It's pricey, yes, but hey, you are beset with the best 3... more

Once you’ve arrived at this hideaway, you may not ever want to leave! Miniloc Island is a part of the still unspoiled chain of 45 limestone island jewels that make up El Nido, Palawan. If you're looking for rustic chic this is it. Miniloc offers, sea fronted accommodation, sharp limestone cliffs, luminous tropical fish, sea turtles, white powdery beaches, emerald... more

My boyfriend and I were in El Nido from March 27 to April 3, 2009. We stayed at Miniloc for the last 3 nights and yes, it’s pricey, but the key in making your Miniloc stay worthwhile is to use the activities of the resort and to set up an even more private visit of the islands around Miniloc. But... more

We stayed at the Miniloc resort for 5 nights -- 3 nights in the Beachside room and 2 in the Deluxe Seaside View room. Rooms: The resort is some 20+ years old and you can see that in some of the architecture. We did not stay in the older rooms, so cannot comment. The first 3 nights we spent in... more

My husband and I stayed at Miniloc in a garden cottage for 4 nights from March 25 to 29. Prior to arriving at Miniloc, we stayed for 2 nights in Puerto Princessa. For us, 4 nights was the perfect amount of time to spend at this resort. Since we were coming from PP, we travelled by van to El Nido... more

The sister of a friend booked a few days in Miniloc when we were in Manilla. You HAVE to go there if you're in the Philippines! It's a great place to relax. It takes a while to get there (small pane & small boat), but wow, the location is paradisiac and the staff is really thoughtful. We asked for lobsters... more

We stayed in a water cottage number 1 so we had the best room in the resort Positives: • When we checked in at the airport in Manila we were over the 10kg per person requirements as we had arrive from the states that morning. We were able to leave a luggage bag in storage during the duration of our... more

It was my boyfriend's first time in the Philippines so I wanted to show him beautiful and breath-taking places, and El Nido did not let me down. El Nido was amazing! At first, I hesitated booking Miniloc Island Resort because of its high price, but it was worth every penny. The rates were inclusive so we did not have to... more

Fellow divers, stay away from these resorts (Lagen and Miniloc). My wife, my son and I, all divers, stayed at Miniloc from Jan 13 to 18, 2009. As we live in the Phils, we were granted the "resident" rate, PhP 9,500/person/day - full board - for a garden bungalow. Based on what we saw on the buffet, we estimate the... more
