Garnet Hotel is well worth it. The staff are very nice and attentive. We were supposed to arrive at about 5 pm from Puerto Princesa. Our flight was moved so we called up the hotel that we will arrive at about midnight. The staff was waiting for us.It would be five stars if they have breakfast. We had the 3rd... More

Stay there 6 nights. Hotel is close to the beach. No electricity on the island from 6am to 2pm but the hotel run on generator. Wifi available at the lobby of the hotel. My room was on the street side, noise of cars or motorbike until 3am. On the top of our shower head, there is a square-hole in the... More

My boyfriend and I traveled here a couple weeks ago for two nights, well tried to anyway. We were kindly showed our room on the second floor, which was damp and smelled of diesel. I thought because of the humidity in the Philippines that every thing & place will be damp, but when I went to complain at the front... More

We booked for 4 nights. At the start of day 3 (so 2 nights left to go) they told us we had to move to another hotel as they were now double booked. We were about to go when they revealed the new hotel - their "sister hotel, same company" - costs 33% more and no, they won't pay the... More

The room is fine, not dirty not too clean. Location is near from restaurants and beach. The staff is not that nice, no smile at all. No wifi in the room, only 1 bar outside the room on the second floor. We had to go downstairs and to get full bar but still have to take forever to open email.... More

I understand that it is El Nido and for certain prices you get what you get, but at the Garnet we didn't feel that it added up. Both windows in our room opened to a concrete wall, our towels had stains on them and during our 3 nights we only briefly had hot water once in the shower. The a/c... More

As with many places in the Philippines, when you give them your money, it's very likely you will not see it again. I paid for a room but ended up finding a cheaper place, and when I asked for a refund they first told me they had to wait to get money, so I came back the next day and... More

Not bad experience. if you wanna to have a sea view or partially view take high level room. There are couch and coffee/tea areas in the center of the building on each floor. Also, There is balcony on each level you can site there and have you coffee/tea while watching the outside view. They turn off the power of the... More

Well priced, very clean, a/c, fan, ensuite bathroom, this place is basic but more than sufficient for a few days stay. WIFI provided, electric knocks off for a while in El Nido but this hotel maintains a back up generator to ensure the a/c keeps going. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, they kindly charged my camera every night from... More

after the 3 hour rough road journey from taytay palawan, arriving at a decent hotel such as Garnet was a relief. We arrived late at night and allowed us for a late check in. There's no resto within the hotel vicinity. Before hitting the sack, we went to the beach which was just in front. They have well-furnished rooms and... More
