Nearest resort to the dive sites, furthest wreck was a 20 minute boat ride. Great dive schedule, visit the wrecks at 9am and 2pm with a reef dive at 11am. A big advantage of the resort location is being able to dive the wrecks and return to the resort to have a coffee or tea (available all day). Dive boats... More

Taking a 20 minute boat ride from Coron Island through stunning Coron mountainous surrounds, you arrive at Sangat Island's main beach pier, and you walk to reception past the dive shop and water sport center. With a friendly welcome you get checked in and shown to your nipa hut, right on the beach! Now, don't mistake Sangat Resort for a... More

Apart from the mosquitoes that are expected during the rainy season, all elser were great. Despite some rain, the dive trips can still go on, experienced dive guide that makes the wreck and reef dives enjoyable and safe. Resort staff were very detailed, goes extra miles to make you feel comfortable, food was excellent- dishes that are cooked from readily... More

A beautiful island resort with simple but clean and comfortable beach huts. The food is freshly prepared and excellent and the diving is just superb. We loved the fluro-night-dive on the house reef as much as exploring the Japanese WWII ship wrecks which are just a short boat ride away. Thanks to the dive guides and all the resort staff... More

Sangat Island is a stunning place, with an hour boat ride you arrive at a peaceful island with monkey's and hornbills. It's a very special diving location, with lots of ship wrecks in the area. Also if you're not a diver, you can relax in a hammock on the beach, reading a book. However, we found a couple of downsides:... More

Thanks for taking the time to write your review and a shame you did not mention your concerns to me while you were here so that we could have had a chance to make your stay more comfortable. Obviously we could not do anything about the typhoon but we could have given you a free upgrade to a more comfortable... More

Diving on wrecked ships is 5-10 minutes by boat, the staff is wonderful, resort has it's own beach, food is included and excellent. My son commented, that the resort is exactly what he would have designed and we were impressed by the number of locals employed to keep it clean and in good repair. Sangat is peaceful, and a great... We visited Sanggat at the beginning of the rainy season, and one of us was a non-diver who was also coming down with a stomach bug. So it was not an auspicious introduction, although we stayed in the incredibly funky and fun Lambingan villa. This is at the end of a long -- perhaps 500 m. -- footbridge and the... More

We enjoyed getting away from it all at Sangat. The staff was very attentive, the diving was top rate, and the food was excellent. Lovely setting and very low-key. We stayed a couple nights on one of the beach huts and then moved to the villa. That was a treat and included a private beach.

I lived the resort, the location is incredible. The staff are great, it's well managed with a personal touch of the owner. You choose what you want to do and when you do it. It's the ultimate couples place to take time off ( and dive)

We stayed April 30th to May 6th for a diving holiday THE DIVING: We went there to dive the WW2 wrecks of Coron Bay. Despite some initial poor visibility, they were great dives. The dive operation was well run by a German guy called Jojo. He was very personable, and organised good dives for us with dive buddies of similar... More

I very much doubt your money was stolen in Sangat by our staff because it has never happened before in the last 20 years of operation. Why would any of my staff go to the trouble of picking some ones lock when they have many easier opportunities to steal money left laying around by guests. You mentioned in your review... More
