Sangat Island is a stunning place, with an hour boat ride you arrive at a peaceful island with monkey's and hornbills. It's a very special diving location, with lots of ship wrecks in the area. Also if you're not a diver, you can relax in a hammock on the beach, reading a book. However, we found a couple of downsides:... More

Thanks for taking the time to write your review and a shame you did not mention your concerns to me while you were here so that we could have had a chance to make your stay more comfortable. Obviously we could not do anything about the typhoon but we could have given you a free upgrade to a more comfortable... More

Diving on wrecked ships is 5-10 minutes by boat, the staff is wonderful, resort has it's own beach, food is included and excellent. My son commented, that the resort is exactly what he would have designed and we were impressed by the number of locals employed to keep it clean and in good repair. Sangat is peaceful, and a great... We visited Sanggat at the beginning of the rainy season, and one of us was a non-diver who was also coming down with a stomach bug. So it was not an auspicious introduction, although we stayed in the incredibly funky and fun Lambingan villa. This is at the end of a long -- perhaps 500 m. -- footbridge and the... More

We enjoyed getting away from it all at Sangat. The staff was very attentive, the diving was top rate, and the food was excellent. Lovely setting and very low-key. We stayed a couple nights on one of the beach huts and then moved to the villa. That was a treat and included a private beach.

I lived the resort, the location is incredible. The staff are great, it's well managed with a personal touch of the owner. You choose what you want to do and when you do it. It's the ultimate couples place to take time off ( and dive)

We stayed April 30th to May 6th for a diving holiday THE DIVING: We went there to dive the WW2 wrecks of Coron Bay. Despite some initial poor visibility, they were great dives. The dive operation was well run by a German guy called Jojo. He was very personable, and organised good dives for us with dive buddies of similar... More

I very much doubt your money was stolen in Sangat by our staff because it has never happened before in the last 20 years of operation. Why would any of my staff go to the trouble of picking some ones lock when they have many easier opportunities to steal money left laying around by guests. You mentioned in your review... More

This is a beautiful and peaceful resort for low-maintenance people. The most striking thing about this place is the staff- everyone is so nice and genuinely welcoming. The beach is beautiful and the island is perfectly located for diving. We loved how easy it was to just hop in the boat, drive for only about 5 minutes, and be at... More

I’ve just returned from 7 days of superb diving on the Japanese WWII wrecks very close to this resort on 20th April 2013. Interesting having reviewed some of the “poorer” reviews here just how selfish and ridiculous some people are, especially the Channel 5 employee who was present for less than one day and then managed to blackmail Andy the... Travel time from the airport to the pier in Coron is around 30 minutes. Then a boat ride from the pier to the resort is approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the resort, Guest Relations will meet you at the beach and she will bring you up to dining area. A fresh coconut will be wating for you for a... More

Without a doubt this resort is one of the most beautiful I've ever been to - about 400yds of pristine palm fringed beach with the sea in front and a rocky cliff behind all sheltered from the worst of the wind. The staff were great - they didn't do the extra mile, they did the extra marathon, nothing was too... More
