The bungalow is very basic but you have your own bathroom and this for a good price... 500 pesos per night... The place is at theextremity of the beach which can be good if you really want calm but that could be something to consider if you have kids... it is a 15 minutes walk to the pier... And the... right at the end of the beach this place is quite nice for what you pay around 500 pesos. Recommended in guide books I'm sure it sees a lot of backpackers - if they're fully booked though there's plenty of other beach front similar cottages for the same price.

Sabang has a number of places to sleep for the night. They are either very expensive resorts or rather overpriced crappy rooms with electricity only from 18.00-00.00 sometimes even less. We went around to all of the cottages on the beach and price ranges between 400-1000 for basically the same thing. Everywhere there are ants, mosquitoes, mice feces and dirt.... More

Clean and peaceful. Cottage was basic but fine. Views from the balcony are gorgeous. Staff nice We were moved out after 1 night as they were fully booked, which they hadn't told us when we turned up which left a bad taste in our mouths. 500 pesos for a night on the beach...cant complain too much

I hope this place will stay as it is. Simple, basic, quiet. If you want to be under the palms and right on the beach without a feeling of being in a resort this is the place to be. If you want a hot shower, a pool, new hut - forget it. Played with a puppy and the kids around,... More

We were at the Tamaraw guesthouse before we moved into Mary's Cottages. Tamaraw is absolutely filthy and had plenty of cochroaches. Very noisy staff and they do not clean the room. We thought Mary's Cottages are nice and quiet. Its very basic, but clean. Nice thing about it, its very close to the beach and very cozy. For the price... More

I hate giving bad reviews but I just have to for this place. I am used to basic accommodation but this place was the worst on the beach! The location is great but thats about it. First of all they had lost our key so we could not get into our place for over 2 hours. They then broke the... More

Hi, well, I was stolen 900 USD from my moneybelt within my backpack from my hut while I went for a swim of an hour or so, having the hut in sight most of the time. There can't have been a lot of people taking just the big nots out of it, leaving the small and the credit cards.... For... More

We stayed here with our 2 kids (2 and 4) the huts look ok (ish). We looked at all the accomodation from the pier to Marys and it appears to all be very basic accom at cheap prices with the exception of one or 2 massive expensive hotels. Marys was cheap to be fair but the bamboo hut was dusty,... More

There's only electricity between 18.38 and 22.38. The cottages at the beachfront are small and very basic. We paid 600 pesos. The bigger cottages will cost you 800 pesos a night and have brandnew bathrooms. Mosquito nets are provided, we saw surprisingly few bugs though. All cottages have a porch with wooden benches and a table. The staff is friendly... More
