“Relaxing Long Weekend at Satwa”

Satwa was a fantastic experience. The Eco Lodge was a great place to stay - quiet and peaceful, big rooms that are very clean, friendly staff, great food and no television. We stayed at the Satwa Sumatra Elephant Ecolodge near Way Kambas National Park South Sumatra. They have 8 rooms in 4 buildings. They picked us up at the airport and drove us 2.5 hours. It is very quiet and minutes from the national park. NO TV or AC. They serve beer but no other booze. The food was fantastic and... More

We got good access to the rhinos, elephants, deer, lizards etc in the national park - entry is walking distance from Satwa Elephant Ecolodge - nice little ecolodge - local kids came over each afternoon to play soccer with our three Aussie teenagers in the lodge gardens - also good to visit local village markets - some good walks in...
