The location of this hotel is excellent; right next to the train station and walking distance from Malioboro street (where also becaks and horse carriages can be found). And Sammy was very helpful in arranging private trips for us exactly as we wanted it to be arranged. You'll sit nice and cosy on his little veranda. The rooms are very... More

The location is good, in the sense that it's near the train station, but it's not what I'd say is the ideal location in Yogyakarta. Still, it's not terrible. There is a lot of tourist information around and they try get as much out of you as possible. Everyone is trying to make a commission out of you so beware!... More

Andrea Hotel's cleanliness; friendly, efficient service; and idyllic, peaceful location fronting Gang 2 helped make for a delightful stay in Yogyakarta. For my money, the best hotel value in the popular Sosrowijaya area. Only a few minutes walk from the train station and to the bus stop on Jl Malioboro, I booked an air conditioned room with queen-size bed for... More

I enjoyed my stay at Andrea. I stayed in a standard AC room which was extremely clean and well decorated. The location was very good for the train station, especially as we arrived late after a long delay and all I wanted was to lie down! It's easy walking distance which was great. Sammy, the owner, was extremely helpful, both... More

We choose this hotel for 3 nights after our long haul from Europe. As I've read some reviews about how hard is to find this hotel, we printed the small map from their website, showed it to our taxi driver, and he dropped us off right in front of Gang II alley. It is not allowed for cars to enter... More

Andrea Hotel is a really good decision to stay in Yogyakarta. The stuff is friendly and helpfull and the hotel lies in an nice little alley. There are many bars and restos nearby so you can choose every day where to eat. The rooms are quite small but absolutely okay, they have a shower and a western toilet and they... More

Stayed in a 250.000 deluxe room that had a bit of a boutique hotel feeling. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is really small but clean. The Deluxe had a queensize bed. The standard rooms are very very small and with a 125 cm bed you can not really sleep with 2 people in it. The website mentioned high speed internet but... More

The room for 200,000 was very small, also the bath room (only cold water) had minimum size. No outside windows. Everything was clean and AC worked properly. Internet wasn't working in the room, even though our room was close to the lobby. This is as advertised (... not in all rooms...). The terrace was ok to hang around - important... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend in mid-March for three days and two nights. We paid 350,000 rupiah a night (we stayed in one of the larger rooms). Considering we had just come from the low-season quiet of Gili Trawangan/Lombok area to the bustling crowds of Yogya, we were glad for the tiny slice of clean, air-conditioned heaven that was... When arriving in Yogyakarta we found ourselves a simple, but nice homestay in 'gang 2'. Leaving the train station, it was a five minute walk towards the small alley full of little homestays. Hotel Andrea is run by a Swiss man that is living in Indonesia for a long time because he loves the relaxed way of life. The place... More
