Spent two lovely nights staying amongst lush padi fields. Close to town yet far enough for it to be peaceful and quiet. I really loved the night orchestra - be prepared to be serenaded by crickets and frogs! heaven for nature lovers! Frans and his team of helpers are excellent hosts, paying close attention to our needs and comfort, and... More

This is the pace to be in Yogjakarta! We visited Alamanda with our daughters and had a great time in the two bungalows in the ricefields. We had a fantastic view and there were no musquitos. The transfers from the station, and to the Airport were as promised. We made great excursions with Frans and this staff. The food is... More

The 3 of us (couple and 6 year old son) stay at Alamanda (Joglo Bungalow) for 4 days in August. We had a wonderful experience. We loved the patio with the view of the rice paddies, loved loved loved the huge breakfasts and the everyday attention from Frans and his staff. Our son turned 6 year old when we were... More

Recently spent four nights here with my wife and 10-year old son. We had one of the two rooms in the bungalow furthest down in the rice fields - very nice room, good bed, sufficient amenities, great views. As promised, we were picked up from the airport - and from then on until our departure, we were extremely well looked... More

The bungalows of the b&b are located in a rice paddy field. In contrast with Yogyakarta it was very pleasant to come back to a more natural and relaxed environment. The service we received was above expectations. The b&b owner facilitated a few day trips for us which we had planned with friends who were staying in a different b&b.... More

A little rough around the edges (I stayed for a few days, and my toilet didn't work a lot of the time). But that's more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff. It is without doubt the friendliest place I've ever stayed. The staff really do all they can and more. The food is tasty too, and... More

We stayed in Alamanda for 4 nights. It was a great experienced. Franz and his team made our stay wonderful. We were treated well. The food prepared by his staff was tasteful. We stayed in the bungalows situated in the middle of the paddy field. The paddies were growing. There were fireflies at night. The views were amazing. When my... More

While this may be a perfectly nice B&B to stay at, sadly I never got the opportunity to find out. Note that this review is not a comment on the quality of the property/stay experience, but rather the problems one may encounter before arrival. As I write this, it's August 2014. I'm going to Indonesia in September 2014. I booked... More

This reaction need not much comment basically, we send more than 1.000 guest the same info, and they all understand, pay and stay and write happy reviews, so may be, my suggestion to read good is not so bad. Your air ticket you also have to pay in advance so why hotels have to get the black card and have... More

We stayed in Yogyakarta for 3 nights, Franz, Richie and the team made it simple and informative with their tours, transfers and meals. The joglo located in the rice padi was cool, clean and perfectly relaxing. The view across the padis and fields to Mt Merapi were a bonus.

Found out about Alamanda B&B from TripAdvisor with excellent reviews, the rates were very good so we decided to stay here. The location is slightly out of town but Alamanda provides transportation to town and helps arrange tours. We stayed in the new Joglo Bungalow right in the middle of the paddy field, a wonderful experience. The food at Alamanda... More
