Hotel is nicely decorated. The location is acceptable as most traveller to Jogja will either rent a van with driver for the day. I specially like this hotel because it is not pricey. I just need a clean n comfortable place to sleep. There is one small cafe right next to the hotel - which is owned by the hotel... More

A beautifully decorated small & cosy hotel, very near Maliboro shopping area, though there is nothing to shout about the shopping arcade if you are from bigger city. Staff are friendly and helpful. It would be best to check out their website before you make any direct booking as they have valued for money promotion on certain months of the... More

With the money I spent for accommodation, it's pretty valuable. I was kinda surprised at first that the hotel was better that I had expected. Pretty clean and comfy. They also provided snacks and mineral water every day which was great. The downside was the breakfast, which was a total letdown, but with that price, I won't complain that much.

growing up in indonesia as a woman i understand sexual harassment is so rampant. that doesn't prevent me from traveling alone. yogyakarta has been disappointing in that department. this is the second time i experienced sexual harassment and what was so sad, it was done by the hotel staff himself. a fat and short staff (whom later i reported to... I was having a reunion trip with my friends from several cities and we decided to stay at Mawar Asri Hotel. The location is awesome! Basically everything is great except for the breakfast. Our room is nice but somehow there's an awful smell when we open the door each time. I assume that the smell comes from the bathroom because... More

We stayed 3 night in family room (2 queen beds) that cost us only Rp 360,000 per nite. Breakfast was simple. Local rice/fried rice + bread with jam/butter. Room n shower was ok. Got complimentary mineral water and snacks. 5 minutes becak ride to Taman Sari, Kraton, Fort, Alun- alun. Driver they provided to us, Mr Sularno was good. Took... More

The room was ok, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is "so-so ok" with coffee and tea, toast, fried rice or noodles. It is within walking distance to Kraton, but a bit far from Malioboro Street, you may want to have a trishaw or a horse cart ride. The staff are friendly, and the driver for mobil (Indonesia term for car) is... More

Just walking distance to Keraton and alun-alun, and no other hotel I saw near here, so it is a perfect place to feel being in the middle of Jogja society. Becak can be easily reached, go to Marlboro only 10 minutes by becak. Price is worth since its new, clean, service good, and the special thing is they serve complimentary... More

I just returned from my Jogja trip where I stayed in this small but comfy hotel yet worth the price. I stayed in family room which can accommodate 5 of us (2 queen beds and 1 extra bed) very well. After I described the bed type you can imagine your self how big the room it was. The room was... More

We chose this Mawar Asri because of it close to the central, walking distance to water castle and Kraton palace, but it is quite a distance to Malioboro street, so we took the "beca" from Mawar Asri, it's not much "beca" pass through here. The room was clean, and not bad, but the breakfast was horrible. We took our breakfast... More
