We only stayed one night. Didn’t get to use the pool but it looked lovely. Paid 300,000 Rp for a comfortable room for two. Location wasn't great for us; quite far from the bus station and main part of town. The staff is helpful; they called Western Union for us when we asked, as we were having some money problems.... We spend few days in Tulips during our holidays in Yogjakarta. My husband had already stayed there and he founded it fair price for what you get. Mattresses are good, there is aircon and small terrace in front of each room. They have a swimming pool and small garden. It has a colonial touch that makes it charming. The staff... More

We, family of 5, stayed for two nights during the Christmas break. The hotel is small, 12 rooms surrounding a beautiful pool. It was perfect for our purposes. Simple but comfortable rooms, good beds, spacious bath room, and nice litle patio's bordering the pool. The owner is very friendly, and will make every effort to make your stay pleasant. Good... The Tulips Hotel offers a great value for the price. The rooms are simple (suggest taking a "vip room" for just a little more money but a nicer bathroom - be aware, these rooms do not seem to be offered on the usual booking websites), but clean, spacious enough and equipped with safety boxes. Every room has a little veranda... More

pretty pool with parasol, palm trees and deck chairs, nice rooms, rooms cleaned every day, good matresses, helpful staff (but not very good in English), tasty (and for once Indonesian!) breakfast, nice and quiet atmosphere with little bungalows

The hotel is charming and the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool is one of the largest hotel pools in the area. During our stay, another guest had a handphone and iPad stolen from their room. The Western woman was being yelled at by a Western man for being careless with her belongings. We thought at first it was... More

"Dr Java" is well -meaning, but misinformed and probably a bit gullable and therefore I will tell what really happened; A break-inn was reported to me late at night in one of the quest rooms. The lock had been forced and some electronic items were missing. The quest was obviously distressed and blamed me for being negligent. I asked the... More

Located almost at the end of Tirtodipuran street, the hotel is within range to a famous chocolate factory in Yogyakarta, several eateries that opens late and specialty shops. It's pleasant neighborhood to enjoy, but beware of the speeding motorcycles. The hotel is clean and equipped with a swimming pool, but during our visit the swimming pool was closed, due to... More

This hotel has excellent value for the modest prices and the very best pool in any hotels I saw in Yogya for under $85 a night (more than twice the price I paid at Tulips). I booked a deluxe room, the second best level, as the VIP rooms were all full. The room was simple but in fine shape, very... More

The hotel looks great and has a very nice pool. We stayed in one of the three VIP rooms at the end of the pool. When we arrived, we were given grief we hadn’t printed out the voucher for the reservation. They knew who we were and that we’d booked though. We showed them the reservation on our smart phone,...
