Interesting place that is lovely and quirky, it is built between two buildings which used to be an alley with a lovely courtyard out the back with more rooms. The staff are very lovely and helpful, had a great stay and would stay there again if ever I go back to Jogja. Also perfect location!

So we stayed here in September for 3 nights and it's a peculiar place. Design is quite interesting so definitely different than others. Maybe not top clean but quite cheap compared to other alternatives with good localisation. But the receptionist was super helpful with organising us transports. And all staff was friendly!

I stayed here with a friend in late November and absolutely loved it. The rooms were a bit crappy but definitely worth what we payed for them. The staff were incredible. They were very helpful and welcoming. Very cosy, would stay here again

Part of the perk of traveling across the world to "developing" countries is that you can save a lot of money on hotels, food, and transportation. However, this hotel (which averages $7-15/night) was too bare bones for me. I booked in advance and didn't encounter any issues getting my room, but though LonelyPlanet advised me this hotel had A/C, it... More

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! After making a booking with Kampoeng Djawa Hotel online, I arrived after a long, hot taxi ride across the city only to find out that my Standard Room with Shared Bathroom reservation was not available. They informed me that the room had been given to another person in the morning, which I found ridiculous... More

This property was beautifully decorated with greenery. However, it is stuffy due to small walking area and low ceilings outside the rooms. Staff were very helpful, friendly and ready to assist whenever possible. I found this place was very dirty, old, stuffy, lots of mosquitoes and bed bugs. It was too extreme for my preference and liking, despite good reviews... More

Nice rooms, very cozy and clean. The staff is really friendly and helps out a lot. They recommend a good driver. Breakfast was okay. Free tea and water available all the time. Totally okay for the price we paid.

We booked a 'suite deluxe', with private bathroom and airconditioning. The room was quite small, we had two separate beds in stead of one double bed, there was no hot water (after telling the staff, they said they would fix it, but it still didn't work afterwards), the beds were not very comfy, the room was not very clean and... Arrived late afternoon and the last room available was the one upstairs near the reception. The shape of the room is strange but the main inconvenience of this room is there is absolutely no noise isolation from outside so u can hear the traffic from the main road all the time.
