Very nice accommodation with simple breakfast. Standard room with everything you need. Place is clean, prices are good and location is just perfect = close to Malioboro street (plenty of tasty street food options) and train station. With direct public transport to airport. But I do not recommend booking long tours (Bromo/Ijen) with them. They use some external company with... More

Stayed at Setia Kawan for 2 nights whilst in Yogyakarta. We were drawn to it while having breakfast at thier sister restaurant Bedhot (also on Gang II) and looking through the back of the menu where they detailed rooms and tours on offer. Since we were staying elsewhere that night, I asked if they had a room for the following... More

Everything else about Setia Kawan is lovely. I stayed here for six nights recently; the rooms are absolutely beautiful and clean. There's a really nice common space and terrace where you can drink beer, which they conveniently sell in the lobby. The staff are hit or miss; some are really warm and accommodating, while others are pretty standoffish. The breakfast... More

We were quite lucky to get a room here as shortly after our arrival all rooms were booked. The room was nicely decorated, the bed is comfortable and the a/c works well. There is a shower and a toilet in the room. A washbasin for washing hands and brushing teeth is outside the room and shared with other guests. The... More

Great homestay ! Short walking distance from train station Turu. Great location, beautifully painted rooms by the owner who is an artist. The rooms are a little small but offer AC and are quiet at night. Overall great choice for the price. Relaxed, laydback place perfect to enjoy a few days in Jogya and discover this rich beautiful city.

Located just off Gang II, the hostel is very convenient for the train station and backpacker amenities close by whilst still being quiet. The hand painted rooms in the batik style gives the place a real uniqueness and almost an intensity. As expected from the price, rooms are compact and basic but there is are decent communal areas including a... More

Good clean simple rooms, staff really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with a tasty juice and your traditional choice for the main. And no noise at night, so good location. You can also exchange you book.

Stayed here 2 months ago. Was one of my best stayes in Indonesia. Breakfast is good, the personnel friendly and the price cheap. The owner Bedhot is a nice fellow with a keen eye for pretty things and a good pool player. To bad there was no bar. The upstairs terrace would be perfect for it! Highly recommended and will... More

The place is beautiful in it's own artistic way. Everywhere you see gorgeous paintings on the walls just like in the rooms. Every room is different and has it's own character. The rooms are not that big, but big enough to do your thing! (and that's all you need because it's always nice to be in the sitting area in... More
