The homestay itself is nice with a beautiful garden and nice rooms - unfortunately only on the first sight. I'm sorry that I can't recommend this place because of the bedbugs!! My friend got seriously bitten all over! We showed the owner the bites next day and he told us that these aren't bedbugs - so I'm sure he won't... More

The homestay is quite basic and fine. The rooms are spacious and clean (for Indonesian standards). The homestay is located very near the mainroad. What we did not know is that the block on which the homestay was located functioned as a legal-prostitution area. So be aware when walking around in the evening. We discussed a price of 450.000 IDR... More

It was very nice they let us check-in around 9am or so, when we arrived in Jogja, but we were not told there was a breakfast or even given towels. The room was nice enough but definitely not worth 200,000 IDR a night (for two people). The mosquito net had a few blood spots on it, the "door" to the... More

s this was definitely overpriced in comparison to the much nicer homestays just minutes away. super hot rooms, flimsy curtain as a door to the shower/loo which doesn't give much privacy. you don't get a sink in your room, that's in the hall way. breakfast is fruit. and no wifi. it's a nice location but there are nicer places if... We stayed a few nights at the Dewi Homestay in September 2014, and loved it! The people running this place are very friendly and welcoming. The room was simple but met our needs. This homestay is really beautiful, the garden is a peaceful heaven. It is greatly located near the railway station, near the animation of Jogjakarta. Last but not... More

Dewi Homestay, is a place for dreamers: the luxuriant garden, the quite atmosphere of the patio and the extraordinary family collection of statues, paintings and wooden fornitures in traditional javanese style are superb. The old fashion beds and the ceiling fans give a touch of colonial memory to your stay! Not to mention the delicious papaya salads prepared for breakfast... More

The staff are really helpful, the location spot on and the breakfasts delicious, but I can't recommend this place to other travellers as I contracted ringworm and was bitten by bedbugs here. It was also noisy so I didn't sleep well.

This guesthouse is in a great location, has a beautiful garden and patio out front, clean comfortable rooms, and the woman who runs it is welcoming and full of information. She also makes great egg sandwiches for breakfast. The only downside is that it's close to the stage where there are cultural performances every night (?) and it's noisy until... More

The owner is very very friendly and this is my absolut favourite for staying in Yogya!!!! We loved it! The house is a beautiful traditional old indonesian home and perfectly located. Compared to other choices (see my other ratings) this is perfectly priced for the room, breakfast and service you get. Another plus: The very cheap "minibar" in the hotel... More
