This is a lovely little place decorated in a combination of Javanese and Balinese styling that instantly dispels those residual noxious vibes you may have brought in from whatever city you've travelled from. It's about four kilometers from Adisujipto airport, which is about 25-30000 IDR in a taxi and located in a rather youthful little street that's peppered with coffee... More

This is a lovely "Balinese-style" hotel with lush grounds. Unfortunately our room wasn't very clean with toothpaste and possibly blood on the aluminium floor. The rooms really just need a fresh coat of paint and some new towels and linens and this place would be fabulous.

A 3 star hotel that is very pleasant for a short stay in Yogya. The gardens and public areas are beautiful, the service good and the rooms are spacious. Free wifi is available everywhere. However, the bathroom was tired and hot water only guaranteed morning and evening. The swimming pool is attractive and has a poolside bar, though a bit... More

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights while visiting Java in April 2013. The hotel looks really good, it is a blend of styles that all give a special touch to this hotel. The rooms are beautiful decorated, with great furniture inside the room and great chairs on the veranda to sit in the evening for a drink or just... More

We have been a regular in here from just short stay to long stay. Friendly customer service and good breakfast. Our only complain is that bathroom is getting a bit tired, although it's still clean. They have done some renovation here and there and it looks good. It's close to get to everywhere and price is very reasonable. The traditional... More

We spent 2 weeks staying at Puri Artha and loved the hotel for its staff, blend of Balinese & Javanese architecture, style and facilities. We were studying Bahasa Indonesian @ Wisma Bahasa & found this place to suit a mature travellers needs perfectly; comfy beds, own veranda with chairs, great range of food options for breakfast and central to the... Spent 2 nights here and really loved the hotel and a very comfortable room. The hotel is on both sides of the road but they have staff to stop the traffic. The grounds are lovely. The rooms were quiet, well appointed and nice chairs to sit outside and enjoy a quiet drink. The pool area fantastic! The staff are very... More

You will be greeted with javanese music, a cold towel and a cold drink. The hotel is like a Javanese house with a courtyard in the middle. The staff were very friendly and efficient, except that they were not very proficient in English so there was miscommunication. The swimming pool is a welcome respite from the warm weather. The restaurant... More

I first stayed in this hotel in 1978. Since then it has been well maintained, and grown. It retains its traditional charm and classic hospitality. We stayed on the first floor on the “old” side of the street. That is, we had the restaurant but not the pool. For our purposes that was fine. The rooms were not “dark caves”;... More

Very good hotel. Traditional Javanese decor. Great staff, very professional and can-do spirit. Best laundry service we have seen in a long time. Excellent breakfast buffet and nice dinner menu. Lovely gardens and inviting pool across the road. Not in central Yogjakarta, but interesting university neighborhood and minutes walk from big morning market that kicks off at 5 am. Rooms... More
