Hotel Ambhara is located in the block M. The distance between the hotel with the Blok M Square about 300m walk away. Although it is quite expensive rates but this hotel offers comfort and hospitality. Breakfast at the hotel is very nice because the menu is varied and the availability of other supporting food

The location is good and I agree with the other reviewers that the staff are friendly and very helpful. They responded to all of my requests promptly. However I found the hotel facilities and the quality of house keeping wanting, which is why I give it a low rating. I stayed on the 5th floor non smoking. The air-conditioning was... More

it may be close to centre so you only take 45 mins to get to your office (instead of one and a half) and the staff are friendly but the décor is very old, things don't work and there is a dampness and depression about the place. I checked out early. Gym is far too hot, both breakfast and dinner... More

As previous reviews have noted, the hotel is somewhat dated, but what it lacks in “newness” is more than compensated by the quality, helpfulness, and friendliness of its staff. Each of my requests was promptly addressed to my complete satisfaction. The buffet breakfast and dinner have a wide choice of good options, which is good because there are few desirable... More

Located in the most busy street in Jakarta, this hotel just opposite of Pasaraya, where you can find the best souvenirs like Batik Kris, etc. The room is quite small, but offer the best scenery of Jakarta town.

This is one of the oldest hotel in Jakarta. Pretty expensive for the rooms and maintenance. They still maintain the old school design in room and old school tv. But the good part is, its centrally located. you got 2 shopping malls opposite to the hotel and Anamoli coffee is very close by. The central business district isnt that far... More

Hotel Ambhara is in the 'embassy' area of Jakarta and so there are plenty of trees around to soften the views. The hotel itself is probably about 40 years old and although it is dated in its appearance it is very clean, neat and tidy with a large humber of helpful staff all going about their work in a sound... If you are here for business, then this hotel is fine. Otherwise, it is too crowded from morning until night. So no one bothers when you arrive and the lobby is quite a mess. Even the security scanning machine has no one manning and everyone walks around it so it is just for show. But the rooms are of the... More

My friends and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to a Mosque. It is situated near a quiet area in Jakarta. There is a mall nearby – Pasaraya Mall – but the area is dead during the night. It was quite hard to find a convenience store nearby and most shops were closed after 10PM. Service was pleasant... More

Stayed here for three days and the hotel is adeqate for my needs. The rooms are cozy with no view and one of the problems I had was fix immediately. The staff was knoweledgeable and very helpfully. Another problem dealt with was the free breakfast. The website I book with said free breakfast and I was also told when I... More
