The linen & towels are dirty, a lot of spots & dull, look like they never been washed. Room size is ok, but looks old. When I disputed a charge, instead of trying to resolve the issue in civil manner; threatened to call the police. After surrounding me with the 5 security guards for 30 minutes, finally came to a sense and resolved the dispute in a civil manner. Never stayed in a hotel where they treated the customers like a CRIMINAL !!! more

The hotel is well located for the business traveller - close to most ministries. For leisure activities you are close to Monas, museums, etc. The best open air food restaurants in the city are literally outside your door. My second stay at this hotel and can only say things have got even better. Location is not great, although 10 minute drive to Grand or Plaza Indonesia. To date I find it hard to fault the Alila Group. Breakfast is excellent. Service impeccable. Recommend Alila Jakarta wholeheartedly. more

Recommended by my staff i stayed in the hotel for one night Dec.18 (business trip). Never again! Arrival 7pm. Met one guy at the reception with almost no English skills. The Alila is a comfortable, attractive modern hotel without much personality but more than adequate for a tired tourist who has just flown 20 hours from Europe. The views are superb from the rooms on the higher floors but the hotel is located in an uninteresting neighborhood.
