I would rate the Mandarin as a good hotel. The service was good, staff is very kind and friendly. Room service was very good, I was very pleased with their promptness and their efficiency. Food quality is very good as well, although breakfast at the restaurant lacks a bit of variety (but when ordered in room, the choice is larger).... More

I have been staying here since it re-opened in 2009 and confess to being a fan but of late some cracks are starting to show across several operas of the hotels services from reservations to F&B. I am sure this is in large part due to the obvious staff turnover with too many of the original personnel leaving for whatever... More

I have been working and travelling to Jakarta for the last several years. I have stayed at all the big names - ritz, mulia, hyatt, etc... Mandarin wins hands down. It is just a bit older and it shows just slightly in the trimmings, but it makes up for it 1000 fold with the staff. I have never been so... More

Everything is excellent - from the moment I stepped off from Silver Blue taxi which was arriving very late from Sukarno Hatta Airport (almost midnight) I was warmly greeted with a very friendly and hospitable staff at the arrival area. Minutes later the checking was completed and I was escorted to my room at 14th floor. A minute later my... More

I had a great experience at this hotel. It's a relatively small hotel compared to some of the other luxury hotels in Jakarta, but the service is more personal and truly outstanding. I also enjoyed the well-designed rooms. The bathroom was great, there was a bathtub with a glass wall towards the bedroom area, and the shower was a nice... More

I've stayed at hundresd of hotels, good and bad, and one thing I detest is staff who pretend to be friendly by coming out with rehearsed lines. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel to find that almost all the staff, from reception to guards to housekeeping were all genuinely pleasant seemed happy and made me feel very much at... More

I have stayed in this hotel for the past two years on a weekly basis. The service level is probably one of the best in Jakarta and the best among all the Mandarin Oriental's I have stayed. The rooms are big, new and well equipped. The laundry and room service are excellent.

This was a magnificent experience, from the welcome at the door to the farewell smile. Staff strongly influence how you feel about a place and I found everyone excellent, regardless of their location and responsibility. Smiling, helpful and interested in 'my' stay. The food choices; Indonesian, Asian and Western, were diverse - I primarily ate Indonesian and was always delighted... More

The Mandarin Hotel Jakarta is an excellent place to stay if you're a business traveler. The rooms are spacious, the staff friendly (they learned my name after only a couple of days), and the food is good. One downside is that it's a bit isolated in a peculiarly Jakartan way: it's not connected to anything. The Kempinski across the street... More

My stay there was a comfortable experience. From being received at the airport to the hotel, the staff was friendly and attentive, ready to help. For a basic superior room, it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The layout of the power sockets was at the side of the table so easy accessible for the user to power-up their laptops... More
