Amazingly beautiful! The beach is clear, the resort is nice, the food is tasty, the staff are friendly. And it's in Jakarta! The island was not too big, you can even walk around the island. They provide quite complete facilities. I hope you can find another snorkeling spot other than in Pulau Tangkar (is it right?). And more kayak please..... More

Pulau Macan is one of the greatest from thousand islands, not as crowded as other islands, yet it still managed and taken care privately . But compare to others, resort village is more expensive . it's suit if you looking for peaceful, relaxing. u also can play canoe, snorkeling in this island.

I honestly didn't expect that it would be this good. Never went to thousand islands before, and I only heard about the polluted sea around thousand islands. This apparently isn't true in pulau macan. A very relaxing and peaceful island where the main activities are sleeping, eating and swimming. The sea is clean and I heard only maximum 30 guests... More

Why have an online booking system when it is respected / honoured? I though I had made a booking for two rooms at Pulau Macan. The online booking system showed that the rooms I wanted were available for the dates I wanted. After I placed the booking I received an online invoice and when I check back at availability I... It is a great place, peaceful and relaxing. The sea is super clean and clear. In the morning, when the tide is low, it is easy to walk to the small island. Snorkling is a must thing to do here. Swimming in the evening also a good idea. Staff is very friendly and helpful. i had a great time there... More

Pulau Macan is only 2 hours away from Jakarta downtown, by speedboat. Departed from Marina at 08.00 am and arrived at around 10.00 am. It's a great place, peaceful and relaxing, a small paradise. The view is so beautiful, the sea is clean and clear. Wooden hut is comforting, the food is great and the staff are friendly. Don't expect... More

pulau macan used to be a quick escape away from jakarta. now it has become overpriced for what it is. it took nearly 3 hours each way on the cramped boat. on the island there is no longer a spokesperson to handle any complaints. and worst of all the departure time is 2pm, meaning the holiday is cut in half,... Hi Chrismasterjak, Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent visit to our islands. We are well aware of the boat problem and the growing popularity of the thousand islands - which means that our guests usually need about 2 hours now instead of the old standard 1.5 hours. Our team has been busy for the past month... More

We stayed two days and had a super relaxed holiday. Would have stayed longer if it was a bit cheaper! The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. At one time we were the only guests on the island! But the downside of that was they did not run the boat for the island hoping trip that... More

Cute huts, breathtaking views. Loved playing in the water, kayaking and snorkeling, and walking across to the other island was likewise a very fun experience. It was a bit pricey, but after talking to the people running it, I see why and honestly I don't mind going the extra mile for the peace and quiet the island afforded. Although getting... More

As you take the speedboat from Jakarta to Pulau Macan, cutting through the filthy water, it's hard to imagine that there's a hidden paradise -- with white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and thriving coral -- anywhere remotely near the city. But as you go along, and leave Jakarta in the distance, the litter bobbing in the sea starts to... More
