Kempinski Jakarta is actually the historic Hotel Indonesia, the country’s first 5-star hotels opened during Indonesia’s first President. i can't find any fault with this hotel. pricewise it's a good value, $200 for a club room and $140 for deluxe. I was extremely surprised to see the toilet in Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, it’s the first hotel I've ever stayed outside Japan that using automatic toilet and more to admire was it was the latest design. I stayed for one night only in their Junior Suite. In overall, what a wonderful experience. It's quite new hotel so you expect all of them to be in excellent condition and yes, this hotel is indeed in excellent condition. The design is retro-ish style but very well appointed. It's like back to the golden era of this historic hotel... more

The hotel just opened, next to Grand Hyatt. Like Hyatt this hotel have their own mall they call it with Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall. Smooth check-in and check-out, huge reception counter. Staff was so amazing !!! Great breakfast choiced and variety. With paying USD 220 so worth with what u get. For sure stay with this hotel. more

I am surprised to be the first to review this hotel, as it has been open for some months now. The Kempinski is the reincarnation of the old Hotel Indonesia, the first International hotel built in Indonesia after its independence (the original was made famous by the Mel Gibson movie "The year of living dangerously" although I'm not sure it... more
