Pros : * Second closest to Ijen Crater, about 45 mins drive (after Catimor Homestay) * Very beautiful scenery and surroundings * (Unexpectedly) working hot shower Cons : * Dirty room * Breakfast is only 2 pieces of bread! (for a long hike, trust me : it won't be enough!!) * Pricey dinner (IDR 50.000,- per person) * And dirty... More

It’s a traditional indo homestay, room was okie but wall very very thin, not even consider a wall, more like a partition, hahaha. The restaurant with very few selections of food, like 6? Nearby there’s nothing so you leave with no choice but to eat there. Breakfast is simple. I don’t think I can stay here for more than 1... More

Assigned room & bed are reasonably clean though furnishing / mattress were old. Bathroom was of acceptable standard. Our assigned room was spacious & fits three person comfortably with an extra mattress. Hot water, towel, soap, toilet paper are available and no unwanted insects in our room. Staff are generally laid back but helpful. We are not fussy travelers so... More

With the limited accom in the area, this might not be too bad a choice if you are assigned to their bigger & better room but we were not that lucky. Other things that I wholly agree with the other reviewers is that their 'breakfast' of 2 breads is very disappointing & their dinner is overpriced. We had booked the... More

First of all there are only 2 hotels nearest to Ijen. According to my tour agent, this is the better of the two. When we were there, there was a big group of the Indonesian military staying there so it was full. Were were put up across the road from the main building, called the Strawberry House. There were for... More

This hotel is used by touts selling tours bromo – ijen –bali and similar. Actually it’s a night stop-over and the closest to the kawa ijen, it takes only 45 minutes by car to get to paltidung in the morning (or 1am) to start climbing ijen. For this reason, the hotel is rather a motel, “sleep and climb away”. Since... More

99 % of the tourists who are staying here is because they've booked a package from Yogyakarta (or from Bromo, or from Bali). So make sure you ask first in which hotel you're staying before paying and booking! Our story: We ended up in this homestay because we have booked a transfer from Bromo to the ferry to bali with... Stayed one night before heading to Ijen Crater. Many guests here same like me, only stay for couple of hours because soon after midnight, already took off to Ijen. Can't say much about this Homestay. The water heater sometimes works, sometimes not.., the bedspread not clean, the room looks dirty. Before went to Ijen, they serve hot drink like tea... More

Basically this hotel is a base camp for people visiting Kawah Ijen for Blue Flame. The blue flame can be seen at nighttime. The trekking time starts at 1am. So you have to leave this place at midnight. Most of people might just drop by here for couple hours before heading out. I noticed that this hotel and other hotels... More

We stayed 1 night in this hotel in the VIP room... Help, the room was terrible, I can not even imagine the standard room: - Walls were full of dirt - No bedlinnen only a woolen blanket and a matras cover full of stains - In the night, I heard to cockroaches crawling around in the room - Bad smell...
