Nice view (but you have a similar view at many other places on your way as well). Food & service are far below from standards at other places in Bali. Staff didn't speak English, except for the owner. Food was cold when served, and lacked any taste. Prices were enormous - idr 130,000 for the buffet, which really didn't look... More

We visited The Mahagiri for lunch and were stunned by the fantastic view on the terraced rice fields under the magestic volcano. The buffet offered the best choice of food I've tasted all around Indonesia, the staff was very friendly and efficient, and on top of all that: everything was very clean, including the toilets! The secret: the owner and... More

Did not stay here, but toured the property. Rooms looked great with rice terrace views. Came by for the buffet lunch. Buffet quality was terrible as it was catered to local tour groups. Price was reasonble at 80k+++ rp given the stunning scenery. See my pics.

An independent traveller of my age would normally avoid tour groups and buffets which is pretty much what you'll get during the day at Mahagiri. BUT my Balinese driver insisted we stop for lunch and enjoy the view. I had to ask if he was on commission and immediately offended him for he was just SO right about the entire... More

If you make the trip out to see Mnt Agung or Kintamani, go visist this restuarant - not neccesarrily to eat but to take in the beautiful panoramic view of the rice fields and volcano! Some of our most beautiful honeymoon shots were taken here!!

The views over Mt Agung and sweeping, dramatic vistas over the expansive rice fields make this is "must do". Ubud is only 1 hr away. The yoga space and calm Meditative atmosphere is the real drawcard of this small, intimate hotel. Even the president of Indonesia had stayed here!!! It's been open since 2007, with humble small beginnings and only... More

The location of Mahagiri Resort is superb!!! Its garden and pool are wonderful, too, but nonetheless the room rates are way too high. What I found really appaling was the fact that my friend was asked to pay extra for two more slices of toast bread (!!!) that she asked for while having breakfast. Something like that had never occured... More

They have developed a fantastic spot here and if you've made your way round to this part of Bali for sightseeing; this is a great place to stop for lunch. When we stopped here they were offering a buffet-style lunch only (this may vary); which was pleasant enough but not memorable (usual rice and noodle dishes in hot serving plates).... More

One of the most amazing views overlooking the vast rice fields through to the Bali Volcano. I went to the village for my niece's birthday ceremony and had the privilege of staying in the same suite as did the Head of state for two nights. To just come here for lunch is an experience not to be missed. Get back... More

We had lunch at this place during our excursions. We used the buffet and had a very nice variety of dishes. Service was outstanding, as was the whole location of the place. We had a wonderful lunch break there and would have loved to linger.
