Honestly, I enjoyed my stay in Old Tingri (no electricity or running water) more than my stay at this "4-star hotel" in Lhasa... At least the place in Tingri was upfront about who they were and what they offered. My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in our recent Qinghai-Tibet Railway & Tibet tour. Although my travel agent claimed it was a 4-star hotel, the room we stayed in was 2-star at best. We were booked into this hotel by China Highlights (www.chinahighlights.com) as part of a two week trip to China which they arranged for my partner and me. Generally, the hotels which they booked for us in Beijing, Lhasa, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shanghai were okay but I have to say that I can't find one positive thing to say about... more
