I would love to give this hotel a good review, but there are so many things that need fixing that it would not be fair to my fellow travelers to this exotic part of Tibet. The shower leaks out,the toilet stall has a perpetual odor, the hand held shower is broken, the air conditioning doesn't cool even after mentioning the problem... More

We travel as a group and stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The first impression was a great hotel with Tibetian decor and convenient location and spacious rooms with a view of the Potala Palace. Unfortunately, the service was not up to the standard expected of a hotel of its grade and cost. We arrived late in the evening... More

This was my first time in St Regis hotels. We've stayed for 5 nights . The hotel is the best in Lhasa. The location is superb; you can see Potala Palace from the lounge. It's 7-8 min walk to the market as well. I adored the decoration of the hotel; all Tibet themes. It is very clean and luxurious; after... More

A resort with tranquil and relaxed ambience, and spectacular view over the Putala Palace from the lobby Spacious room with trendy design. Buffet breakfast and dinner have various selection of foods. Nice foods served in its Chinese restaurant.

In a fast changing city like Lhasa, you need to find a sanctuary. St Regis in Lhasa is probably your best bet! There was a change in management recently and what a difference it made. Kudos to the new General Manger, Ricardo Leal and the new hotel manager, Felix Patrick. They have begun a new start for this wonderful abode... More

We had very high expectations, obviously and were a bit let down. The food was very expensive compared to anywhere in town and mediocre at best. The room was spacious (bathroom very nice), but had signs of wear. The windows had broken handles so they could be opened, but not closed (they only opened a few millimeters, anyway). We were... I stayed at St. Regis during my trip in Tibet back in early May. A bit pricy but it worth every penny you pay. The buildings and interior design fully respect and incorporate the local cultural spirits and yet the facilities are modern with ultimately comforts. Excellent service, staff is professionally trained yet you still see the purity and simplicity... More

I stayed at the St.Regis Lhasa for a week during my visit to Tibet in October 2013, and it easily met the high expectations I had for it. The propert is stunning, yet is sensitive to both local traditional styles and the fragile environment in Tibet. The reception area is both very grand, yet muted enough to showcase the true... More

Checked in at the St Regis Hotel as a surprise gift from my travel agent. Everything was perfect from the point of view of the guest. Hotel is extremely beautiful and clean. Hotel staff are friendly and eager to please, although they are quite overworked. I can see some of the waitresses at the Yan Ting Chinese restaurant panting to... More

St. Regis – a brand of luxurious hotel all around the world – is perhaps something excessive for the old Lhasa environment. At a price higher than many other upscale resorts in East Asia it offers a small Potala palace or better a number of small Potala palaces in a wide court with a tiny lake in the middle. The... More
