We stayed at this little hotel for our Tibet trip of 5 days. Initially we were shocked by the standards of hygiene here, but after a few days in and around lhasa we can say that this hotel is actually relatively clean! Just be mentally prepared for toilet conditions in Tibet if you can. And so our first impression of... More

This hotel was chosen by our tour agency during our tour of Tibet. Although we were surprised by the fact that there was no heat in the rooms or dining room, we soon adjusted to this. There are actually a few heaters for rooms - they had none left when we were there. Sleeping is comfortable as there a couple... More

Look no further, this is a great place to stay while in Tibet. Walking distance to bakor and the Muslim quarter. Friendly and safe surrounding areas. Very helpfull manager and great English. Would highly recommend for a budget focused traveler.

I love this small cozy guesthouse. Love the cafe, the surroundings and the people staying there. It's also great to strike a conversation with fellow traveler especially regarding to travelling inside Tibet. It's near the Moslem quarter which make it easy to get fresh fruit from the market, food and also the best lamb satay ever near the mosque. It's... More

Fantastic traditional Tibetan guesthouse. Rooms were exactly what you need and had a nice cosy feel. The restaurant had delicious food and the breakfast was hearty and yummy as well. We were starting a bike tour and the owners were so accommodating allowing us to pack out gear onto the bikes in the living area and store boxes of food... More

unlike the bigger and more established hotels, it's a family-run small hotel with a very nice restaurant, all traditionally finished with wood and comfy sofas. Great people - run by a Tibetan scholar who knows a lot more that you could find in any books. Friendly staffs and some speaks English, we chatted a lot in the home-like restaurant+living room... This little guest house was a lovely escape in Tibet. We had booked a tour but decided not to stay at the Yak Hotel, where the rest of the tour group stayed - instead we checked into Rama Kharpo & were very happy with the decision. The Yak Hotel was a standard-style hotel similar to what you'd get anywhere else... More

Really great, friendly, family style budget accomodation. My only problem was finding contact details to make a booking so I've included details here: email Lhamo at wangchentso38@yahoo.com. Replies were prompt and informative. Situated in the bustling Muslim quarter, this place is friendly and welcoming and is run by an Amdo Tibetian family. It has a great location and is a... More

Tashi delek. This place totally rocks if you are looking for a real Tibetan experience. And if not, why have you come to Tibet? Hopefully not just to make another notch in your travel belt to exotic places. Admittedly, this small hotel would probably not appeal to all and I need to say from the start that my rating for...
