I stayed here for 3 night on a tour. If I had not been on the tour I would have moved after a night. It is very cold outside the rooms, most of the lights in the corridor are kept off so it is dark finding your room and it smells of smoke as people can smoke anywhere except in... More

The good: it's not that far of a walk to Barkhor. Nd it's right around the corner from the Muslim market and mosque. The staff is very friendly and seems to try as best as they can with what they have... Most of the time. The bad: this is one of the filthiest hotels I've ever been in. I had... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Had to change rooms twice before finding one where the shower tap didn't come off in your hand or the bathroom didn't flood. No heating, no service, breakfast room on 5 floor run by a team of incompetents. Location is on big noisy avenue not too far from interesting sites. Your travel agent probably gets... More

This hotel has good bathrooms and western toilets. The shower was great, although it leaked a bit. The bed was hard and the room were clean but the carpet was stained. I think lower standards of cleanliness are the norm in this city. There is no bar, so it's dead at night and the top floor breakfast room had dirty... More

Rooms are fine, standard for such Tibetan hotels. Breakfast is not cozy but decent. Comfy beds. But the big issue is towels. As in most places in tibet they are quite dirty. I cannot understand why they should not wash them properly. City center is near.

Stained carped, stained towels, broken toilet seat and a hole instead of the handle on the bathroom door. This is the short description of the room. This hotel was picked by the travel agency, I’d not never pick this hotel myself. We had to spend 3 night there – I couldn’t wait to get out.

The location is the absolutely best thing about this hotel. By all means the hotel has everything you'll need including other international travelers, but nothing to write home about. But the location is just across the road form the Barkhor Kora and the old Lhasa - couldn't be better!

Stayed there as part of a tour for 3 nights. Location is great, all day you can watch the pilgrims doing their kora. Hotel has known better days (i think it was once a very fancy hotel) but room and bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable, very fast in room wifi and nice staff

In Lhasa we stayed in Mandala hotel. First 2 days and nights we did not have a toilet we could use. We could not flush it. We asked the hotel personnel to repair it but they could not repair it. They just tried to fix it with a plumber but it did not help it. We also asked for a... More

I originally thought my agency booked us onto the one located at Bakhor Street (that one is located at a fantastic location, though it does look rather dated though!). But ours is along a main street, about 10 min, walk to Bakhor Street. The hotel is rather run down, very basic and dusty. Breakfast was so-so, and overall, it was... More
