Okay, let me preface this hotel with the following. Its quaint, its charming, its...Lhasa. Are there better, yes, probably... Are there cheaper? Mostly likely but I'd rather not find out about that. This hotel is owned by a monastery and there are a good number of monks coming and going all the time. The rooms are clean, as are the... More

The hotel has very beautiful rooms, a well equiped bathroom (jetshower), a very decent breakfast table and offers a nice view over the city and mountains. The reception people care for you and are very helpful.

Slept here for 3 nights. Nice hotel, room was clean. Breakfast was oke. Hotel kichen looked a little bit dirty. Staf was friendly. Positive point was the medical equipement for extra oxygen for altitude desease.

My sister and I stayed here while on a tour so didn't have much of a say on where we stayed. We were here for 3 days, hotel is ok. Clean rooms. Staff were nice, spoke good English. Restaurant was good with a good variarity of food to choose from.

I stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions during a recent trip to Tibet. Initially I was not entirely happy but having travelled elsewhere in the country where accommodation was extremely variable, each time I returned the hotel seemed more and more comfortable. Fathomed the plumbing. Got extra duvets. Wi-fi pretty good. Breakfast disappointing, but at least there were eggs... More

Late review - two nights stayed in this hotel were the best nights during two weeks journey through Tibet, but this is simply because the other places on the road from Nepal to Kailas and Lhasa just could not be called hotel at all. What would be a standard elswhere becomes a luxury in Tibet. Hotel restaurant serves decent Chinese... More

If i compare this hotel to the rest of the world, i would just put average rating. But this is Tibet, a so called 4 star hotel is barely 3 star. So if you stay at 3 star hotel , please expect 2 star quality then. The room is fine, heating is definitely working!! Key criteria to stay during winter.... More
