The view of the Potala from my room was worthy of a postcard. The staff was extremely nice, even telling me how to keep the heat on when I was out. I only wish that it had been slightly closer to Barkhor - I like to wander around.

For us, this hotel's only saving grace was the view of the Potala Palace from our room (which we requested having read reviews). The location isn't great and the hotel long past its best, but I understand this is about the norm for Lhasa.

This hotel is three star hotel, and the hotel rooms are clean and bathroom is also nice. However, if u want to go around the old town, I may not suggest u to stay there since the place is bit of far from the old town.

This hotel is in a weird location in Lhasa, and a nearby grocery store and gentleman's club are the closest attractions. The carpet in my room seemed a bit dirty, and wifi is only available in the lobby. There is only one English TV channel (from China), but the tv didn't work for half of our stay. There were also... My husband and I stayed at this hotel in September of 2014 with our tour group from the United States for two nights. The window in our room overlooked the Dali Lama's Palace and I took pictures of the Palace from our hotel room. Some people in our group needed extra padding on top of the bed - my husband... More

This hotel is located little out of the Lhasa old town and next to the Lhasa river, hotel rooms are average based on 5 star, services are acceptable. Problem is every time when we visit to Old town we need to take taxi.

Ask for a room with a view to the Potala Palace. It is stunning, specially at night. The hotel is good for a 4 star, with spacious rooms. Service is corteous. The restaurant is not good, and in the evening they fry in the salon, so you end up smelly and greasy.

The hotel room is average at best. There is no ledge/luggage rack to place your luggage so the floor it is; there is also no drawers for clothing. The air conditioner does not work well even on the lowest setting so the room is hot & stuffy. If you choose to leave the windows open for circulation keep in mind... More

Get a room with views of Potala Palace. The rooms are nice, not luxurious and everything was clean and working for us. The breakfast buffet was weak for westerners, but there is enough to satisfy all cravings. I see reviews about altitude sickness - but none of our group were aflicted and the acetozolamide probably helped. Walking in Lhasa to... More

Lhasa,Tibet was the third stop on our 16 day, Gate 1 China adventure. This hotel was quite nice, with excellent views of the Himalayan Mountains and Potala Palace. We were here for two nights, and believe me that was more than enough for me. I say this not because anything was wrong with the hotel ,or service, but because of... More
