A Chinese 5 star hotel. Situated close to subway and good food. The staff are attentive and courteous. The room was comfortable and very quiet. Making for a good night's sleep. It has all the facilities for a trip. But is slightly expensive.

Got to love the location and best value for money you can get in town. Best bed ever and absolutely love the bathrooms. Nice dark colour furniture gives a perfect atmosphere - view is great. Staff performance so so as in most hotels of this level.

writing this waiting for the lift to come ... This is a clean hotel pitched as a five star - probably generous - that has satisfactory standards of service and is well located in Central Nanjing, though it's a part where you can have trouble finding a taxi when you need one, especially at rush hours. Rooms and bathrooms are... More

Although when you walk in, the lobby, lift & room are well maintained, there are certain aspects of the hotel that are lacking. Not much greetings by the staff except one customer service manager who is very attentive whenever a guest walks in. Breakfast is very chinese so westerners will suffer in this aspect. Room airconditioning was terrible as it... More

My client picked this hotel for me. I felt the hotel staff was on the cold side, not much of a greeting and the front desk always seemed to be busy. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The housekeepers were very nice and polite. Breakfast was very nice, lots of selections but the coffee was not desirable. I was... More

Impressive room, nicely decorated. Extremely soft and comfortable bed, which is a godsend in the land of rock-hard sleeping surfaces. In-room computer is an unexpected bonus. Easy 3-stop Metro commute to Nanjing Main station for the train to Shanghai and elsewhere. First flaw is the cable TV- very limited number of English channels. No foreign news channel or sports channel... More

Clean and make sure request for high and non smoking floor. Foreign guests to get use to swarm of guests at lobby and elevators. Sometimes crowded and rowdy at entertainment center. Bed and bath is comfy.

I had a very comfortable and well equipped room in this very grand hotel. Price seemed pretty reasonable. What was not so great was the 'normal' restaurant. Breakfast does not have much western stuff (OK so there are rather few western tourists in Nanjing so far) and there is an army of young waitresses who appear to do nothing at... More

Stayed here one night in July on a stopover. As soon as the receptionist saw we were not Chinese they did their best to avoid serving us. However the room, when we eventually got to it was superb. A bit expensive. We had a bit of a winge to the manager and he was most helpful. Consierge was good too.

The lobby looks quite grand and the 8-9 year old hotel is undergoing renovation in phases. The front desk gave me a defective room key and after finally entering the room with the working key, I realised I probably got the pre-renovated room. It is old and in a bad state, not to mention small. Old carpet, wallpaper, desk. fittings,... More
