Amongst many hotels I have stayed in China, even many its rating system of 5 star hotels, some of them were disappointing. Most with empty gestures, formalities that means not much, sewer smell backing up in the rooms, etc. This Central Hotel in Nanjing was truly central. It was nestled in the center of all the luxury shopping, near the... More

I stayed for three nights in April, so this review is a bit late. All in all, I was happy with the Central Hotel. Let me get the negatives out of the way. They are all very minor. One, the hotel entrance is hard to find. You have to walk into a poorly marked alley off Zhongshan Rd., which then... More

The location is excellent with easy access to popular shopping district and subway stations by foot. Hotel staff are very friendly and willing to extra mile to make you satisfied. I am pleasantly surprised by the service quality as that is what usually lacks in Chinese hotels. Internet access is good and they offer late checkout service without me asking... More

I choose this hotel again when I travel to Nanjing last weekend because last time my friend booked this hotel for me and I love their new renovated european style room very much. So I booked it again by myself this time. But when I arrived the room I booked, I was so disappoint because that room was kinda old... More

I agree with other reviewers that the hotel doesnt quite meet 5* in western standards, but the hotel is quite good. Especially I think it is rather cheap for what it offers. The location is also good, very central and convenient. So after all recommendable.

Everything fine for us: from early check-in granting us a couple of extra hours to early check out with taxi cab reservation/wake up call and reminder etc. Not luxury but still a fine hotel to stay in, we felt cozy and welcomed both in hotel and in the gym/pool. Definitely would stay there again, the rate for double room (only)... More

Close to the busiest underground station so you can access line 1 and 2 the same time Facilities are good, shopping mall across street has lots of great food choices Business centre can help somewhat with booking and online stuff. Staffs are generally v helpful but they may not be too familiar with the local tourist attractions in terms of... More

I previously stayed at the Central Hotel, Nanjing in Jun2012 when I described this place as top notch but I didn’t come away with same impression this time. I was a guest from afternoon of 2Apr2014 until 4Apr2014 morning. Level 4 Front Office Reception Staff were excellent on my arrival although I had mucked up the booking. They were professional,... Please do not believe this is a 5 star property, the only good thing abt this hotel is location, just in the middle of large shopping malls. I choosed it as I had to be near to my partner's office and booked an executive room but upon check in I was given just a standard room (pls note that being... More

Hotel is well located, more a 4 stars hotel for international standards but pretty ok considering the average situation of service in this industry for local brands in China. The best was the room, absolutely clean and renovated with very comfortable bed and modern furniture. Wifi is free and you can connect several devices at the same time. Very good... More
