I've been in Hong Kong for a few days, it was a pause in the middle of a business trip. I booked this hotel because for the position, but for the services recived I was not real happy. the rooms are so small, and sometimes ther was a pesky stink.

Haven't stayed here in about three years, and while it used to be my go to for staying in Hong Kong while doing errands, I can say it's not the charming bargain it used to be. Odd smell in lobby--think fish sauce mixed with air freshener-- and staff that do the job but without any evidence of personality or enthusiasm.... More

Not so much to add to the other reviews. Location close to Sheung Wan MTR is good, also close to Soho, LKF, IFC mall, Ferry terminal, etc. But the rooms are way to small, even for HK standard. My single bed room was not so much bigger as the bed itself. Hardly any space to move, definitely no space for... More

Yes the staff are dour and the rooms are small, but what you get is a clean place to crash that is right next to a MTR station that is one stop from Central for a great price I especially like the narrow room with a small window because when i close the bathroom door I can make the room... More

Stayed here for a few nights during Chinese New Year, paid about $230 /night. There is nothing to celebrate about this hotel except the location, which was central. Inside, the standard double room was not much bigger than the bed itself and had as much personality as a bowl of cold porridge. The bathroom was likewise minuscule. The place seemed... More

Bad customer service. Rude receptionist. Unable to cater to simple request. Room has a lot of defect. Bed sheets rather poor quality with stains. Dirts on walls and cowweb in toilet. The only good thing about MOTW is the proximity to Sheung Wan MTR station. Only 20steps or more to the entrance of the subway.

I have booked a single room, where I found a single bed with a tiny corridor. Condition of the room quite poor. Breakfast is not available at the hotel. The good thing about this hotel it is only location, quite close to the MTR. Next time I would look somewhere else.

The facilities where disgusting, there where different stains on all of the three beds in our rooms, because of how late we checked in we didn't want to mention it until the end of our stay and just wait for the cleaning staff to remove the sheets the next day. After discovering only one of the bed sheets had been... More

I stayed here with two friends, so we booked two rooms here, one twin room and one single room, for two nights. After checking in and unpacking a little we noticed blood stains on the sheets of both beds in the twin room. Since we were only in Hong Kong for a short trip, we decided to discuss the problem... Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
