Yes the staff are dour and the rooms are small, but what you get is a clean place to crash that is right next to a MTR station that is one stop from Central for a great price I especially like the narrow room with a small window because when i close the bathroom door I can make the room... More

Stayed here for a few nights during Chinese New Year, paid about $230 /night. There is nothing to celebrate about this hotel except the location, which was central. Inside, the standard double room was not much bigger than the bed itself and had as much personality as a bowl of cold porridge. The bathroom was likewise minuscule. The place seemed... More

Bad customer service. Rude receptionist. Unable to cater to simple request. Room has a lot of defect. Bed sheets rather poor quality with stains. Dirts on walls and cowweb in toilet. The only good thing about MOTW is the proximity to Sheung Wan MTR station. Only 20steps or more to the entrance of the subway.

I have booked a single room, where I found a single bed with a tiny corridor. Condition of the room quite poor. Breakfast is not available at the hotel. The good thing about this hotel it is only location, quite close to the MTR. Next time I would look somewhere else.

The facilities where disgusting, there where different stains on all of the three beds in our rooms, because of how late we checked in we didn't want to mention it until the end of our stay and just wait for the cleaning staff to remove the sheets the next day. After discovering only one of the bed sheets had been... More

I stayed here with two friends, so we booked two rooms here, one twin room and one single room, for two nights. After checking in and unpacking a little we noticed blood stains on the sheets of both beds in the twin room. Since we were only in Hong Kong for a short trip, we decided to discuss the problem... Second time I have stayed here, but I feel it has declined a bit in a year. The rooms are showing wear: carpet edges frayed, sheets had holes, paint peeling, bathroom is a tight squeeze. Rooms need renovation. A great location, however, in Sheung Wan, steps to the MTR, Wing On Center, Infinitus Plaza, Ferry terminals, shopping and dining. But... More

tiny room, with locked window. location is good, but there is no lift in the closed MTR exit, a couple of minutes walk if using lift. hot water system is probably the worst thing during my stay. it takes 3-5 minutes get hot water.

Not big, not cheap, well located in Hong Kong island near the ferry to access to Macau. Even though In Hong Kong nothing comes cheap you pay almost 200 bucks for a tiny room, modern and functional but very small,, Just did the job for one night stay... Luis Fernandez-Maldonado

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
