It's situated perfectly in between the MTR stations Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, so it's a bit to walk from either of them. But it's still in a central good location. Rooms were alright, you should expect what you're getting in Hong Kong. Could perhaps have been a bit cheaper for what you got. Room was however very clean and... More

Recently my wife and I stayed a week at this hotel, and this was the second time I have stayed there. I have used this hotel twice purely based on location – it is right next to where our family and friends live in HK. The hotel is located in Hennessy Rd in Wanchai, and has great transport access being... More

Hotels is Hong Kong are too expensive. Walden hotel is a budget hotel in central place i.e. wan chai. Very near to HKCEC . Well connected. E11 and A11 buses from airport to reach henessey road. KFC, McDonald nearby. shopping good. 7-11 good experience. eatries nearby. no restaurant in the hotel. rooms are very small. very few english channels in... More

Located right aling the tram line 2 blocks from Causeway Bay station, the Walden has reasonable sized rooms at a great price. No restaurants or fitness centre, but lots of dining options just at the doorstep, and a short tram ride away from Admiralty and Central. Bring your own toiletries, though

We booked this hotel for 5 nights having previously stayed there before, but checked out after one night, the hotel had seriously deteriorated since the last time we stayed there, the reception and common areas still shine but once you enter your room it's all down hill, our room was scruffy, with scuff marks and dirty spillage marks everywhere, although the... In my opinion, the Walden is way over priced for what they provide. The room was disgusting, the hallways weren't much better, and the most of the staff weren't friendly or helpful. Location is okay but you can find better. Stay somewhere else if you can.

About 3 blocks from MTR caueway bay. Though it's located in wanchai the nearest station is Causeway Bay. Area is more of local than touristy. Convenience stores, food/restaurants very nearby. This hotel is not remarkable but convenient, clean, quiet & value for money.

Convenient location. Close to Chinese Consulate for visa runs. Also near to cultural nightlife spots. It's possible to walk from this hotel to the centre of HK Island, or further up to the Peak. Nice way to kill some time during the day.

Simple and fuss-free, Walden Hotel is a tall, thin building with three rooms on each floor, with two slow lifts serving the entire hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the check-in and out process was simple and quick. We didn't use any of the hotel's other facilities but the basic and cosy rooms are adequately equipped with the... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
