Location is great. With the opening of the new Sai Ying Pun MTR station just minutes away, this hotel puts you in the middle of one of Hong Kong island's up-and-coming areas, while still making it convenient to get to the rest of Hong Kong. Sai Ying Pun is an interesting combination of local traders and upscale, hipster establishments, and... More

Found this place by chance as it was close to where my friends live. We had the large family room so it was quite spacious with a lot of drawers to store things. Aircon was a little cold altho I turned the temp up! There was a nice bathrobe to keep me warm! Comfy bed and pillows. Large bathroom with... More

The aircond seem like not function well, seem like the aircond vent / outlet is blocking. the worst is the bathroom + toilet have some strange smell, i suspected... More

We chose Butterfly as our base for a week's stay in HK last September 2014. It is located on a rather quiet street and few blocks away to convenient stores, restaurants (including dim sum) and starbucks. The room size is pretty typical of HK but we find the service to be efficient, no frills. Wouldn't say that the location is... More

Great location, excellent service, good value for money. A handy smartphone at your disposal throughout your stay with detailed information on tourist attractions and unlimited internet usage. You never get lost even if visiting less known islands and areas.

We stayed three nights in this hotel, the last of three hotels we had in Hong Kong. The room was clean and comfortable, compact but well-designed to make the best use of space, unlike the Dorsett, our first hotel. As with the Dorsett, we were given a free smartphone, but this time only for local calls. This hotel had the... More

Before I begin, I've just got to extend a personal thanks to Kiki Ngan, she streamlined the whole process from our arrival to departure, and even took the effort of showing us the different type of rooms and views. A Very thoughtful person, and full of beaming smiles. Made the stay very welcoming. Just wanted to add that Ashley Hung... More

Small cozy room, excellent utilization of available space, friendly staff, complimentary mobile phone with data, free breakfast and close proximity to MTR station. This is the perfect hotel for anyone visiting Hong Kong. I would definitely stay here again!

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
